Killian Carrick
The Call Home ... The Tune In Our Hearts
It had been awhile since Killian had seen a friendly face like what this man had. He could tell there was something on his mind just by looking into his eyes and seeing an all too familiar feelings: Confusion and doubt. Two of the worst things that could come across anyone. It didn't matter who you were, or how mentally prepared or strong you were. Everyone fell under the spell of them at one point or another. It was like learning magic, well at least in Killian's case, he had to be put under various effects while he was learning more about the world of magic and such.
Killian's comfy winter jacket provided him a nice warmth from the slight chill in the Winter air. But he didn't mind the soft nip at his cheek bones every so often. It was a rather welcoming, seeing as he found he couldn't really get rid of his warm smile he had on his face.
Killian wasn't too sure why, but he wasn't complaining. Mum always did say that smiling was the best medicine and hit improved your face value. Killian just thought the additional beard was a nice touch. Plus it was something he loved, and it showed off his natural hair color. He was proud of where he came from for sure. Killian was also proud of his roots. His hair color was something he acquired from his mother, and he would tell the world over and over again. It was just how he was, and he had absolutely no shame.
After he mulled over his own thoughts, he turned back to the other gentleman and saw he offered a hand, and asked if he knew him from somewhere. As to his knowledge, he had never seen his face until now. But warlocks did have a funny thing about them, and they always felt someone was familiar no matter. This however, was just in Killian's case.
He wasn't too sure if he was the only who felt that way or not. But he didn't want to stand up the gentleman anymore. With a firm grasp, he shook the other man's hand firmly. "Killian Carrick. It's a pleasure, lad." Killian said with his Irish accent coming in strong. It had been a really long time since he had heard that happen. What on Earth could of caused that? He was unsure. But he didn't really think of it as a bad thing. It was, rather refreshing to Killian. He also took note of the British accent that Christian had. It was rather pleasing to his ears. And that soft smile he offered was also something to be treasured.
