The accent of the Italian salesman was unusual. Tobias baffled by those words and the way they sounded, his head tilting to one side almost curiously as he watched the mans mouth move. Just what he was saying was all but lost on the boy. Tobias hardly caring in the least for the conversation that carried on around him. So many of those words were no more then sounds, muted noise lost somewhere within the confines of his mind and yet that very tone was readily curious. Tobias rarely exposed to accents of any kind. Raven's attempt to explain she only desired to rent a smaller, less expensive car seemed to fall on deaf ears. Tobias already having spied that bright blue car reminiscent of the one he and Tetra kept at home. The deviant boy, for all his incapabilities, was entirely capable of naming those cars by make and model. He knew already just what that Ferrari was. His dark gaze fixated on it as his hand reached out to run his fingers across it. His attention lingered on that drivers side door then, a part of his mind turning within those dark confines, considering how easy it might be to break into that very car and yet.....Raven had said no stealing. His gaze flickered back to his mate then, an irritable mumbling falling from his lips and yet he was....unwilling to disappoint her.
Tobias' gaze shifted away from that door then and onto the salesman as he handed Raven an ipad and moved to approach Tobias himself, the deviant eyeing the man almost critically as if attempting to decide whether or not the man posed any sort of threat. Tobias notoriously....protective over that which he deemed his own. Those animalistic instincts decidedly content especially when any other man seemed to linger in Raven's company. That mention of the car however, readily seemed to soothe that internal bristling. Tobias....familiar, in some fashion, with those very car terms. At least several of those words understood as the salesman spoke of speed and acceleration. Those numbers were, perhaps, something of a lost cause and yet he understood the higher the numbers the better. Tobias so previously having shown some ability to discern order. His head nodded to those numbers, many of them sounding decidedly high. He would surely tell Tetra of this.
Still, that very key behind handed to Raven saw his features scowl once more. Tobias sure he should have been the one to drive. Girls were not good drivers. Everyone knew this. It was the rules and yet there seemed to be rules to stop him from driving too. Tetradore so often refused to let him drive back from the airport they practiced at. Tobias sure that, perhaps, he was not allowed to drive on roads not near planes. This the logical assumption his mind so seemed to have made as he followed Raven to that car and slid into the passenger seat with no small amount of discontent. The boy perhaps unfairly biased in his opinion of female drivers. His query on Raven's ability met with that almost uncertain answer. Tobias readily picking out that hesitation in her voice as she insisted she didn't drive cars 'like this' his shoulders suddenly shrugging.
"It is a....boys car."
His head nodded sagely, as if this was a perfectly acceptable thing to say. Tobias very near akin to a child at times, his understanding in this decidedly basal and yet why shouldn't it be? For the entirety of his life he had only ever seen Tetradore drive those sports cars they adored. His mind very near assured that this was because those supercars were designed for men. Such a sentence hardly designed to be offensive in any sense, the boy simply believing it to be fact. A truth- rather than an idea. That on-screen navigation readily seemed to prompt the boys intrigue and yet soon enough Raven was pulling away from the curb, that car picking up speed. The deviant readily commanding his mate go faster and faster still, his hands clapping excitedly together when she did. It was still not quite so fast as Tetradore and yet Tobias seemed satisfied with the speed achieved all the same. The lanky leopard decidedly....content within the car as it sped along, Raven following those directions he hardly cared to listen too. His attention drifting from the road to that GPS to watch that little line as it travelled along. Tobias reaching out to followit with his fingers, several muttered words falling from his lips as he did. Though whether Raven could truly hear them or not remained to be seen.
"Follow....and follow....and follow.....far.....so far......walk.....no walk......far.....and far.....carry....on."
Just what those words meant remained to be seen, the boy seemingly fascinate with tracing that line for near the entirety of that journey. His attention drifting only once they arrived at the very circus itself. The noise and music and lights a near assault on his senses and yet those scents of food and animals intrigued him all at once! Tobias was out of that car near instantly, his hand reaching out to grasp Raven's own and drag her along with him with barely a chance to lock that very car.
"Oooooh."
That clear sound of curiosity readily fell from him then, his hand still within Raven's own as his gaze scanned that crowd, searching for the very woman in the poster with her bearded face.
"Birdie, there!"
She was near on the other side of that crowd and in that private caravan section for performers alone, the woman stepping out off her trailer as she brushed her hair, oblivious to the Leopard eyeing her from across the field.
"Let's get...her. C'mon!"
madness, as you know, is like gravity: all it takes is a little push
