So far things were off to an awkward start. She could tell before she even touched Henry that he was nervous. She could just tell by the tenseness in his shoulders and the way he couldn't hold eye contact. He definitely wasn't the laid back guy she could drink with or the smooth talker who could bring her pleasure tonight. She had to wonder, was Frost really all that intimidating in the Were community? What had everyone been told before the truce started between him and Tetradore? She knew it wasn't worth it to ask and diving back into the past wouldn't help anything but her curiosity got the better of her sometimes and she had to bite her tongue. She did see a menacing thing about Frost. Sure, he was a good fighter but she saw past that. He was a good leader and a fair alpha. He truly cared about his members and he had a good heart. She could see that when he talked about rescuing his own mother. There was so much more to Frost than meets the eye and she wanted Henry to see that. Maybe it would just take some time.

She could tell already that Frost seemed to be enjoying the tension he was putting on Henry. She could read that smooth simpler and the glow in those eyes. He gave out vague answers to Henry, keeping him on the hook about what he may or may not know about him. Malia shifted in her seat, not liking this game of testosterone. She glanced at Nadya. She looked unabashed by most of it, her attentions turned to the waiter who seemed to know her and left us to look at our menus. Not that she knew what was good here. She leaned toward Nadya and lowered her voice so she wouldn't interrupt Frost and Henry. "What's good here? I have no clue what any of this means." She basically tossed the menu flat on the table in front of her, knowing it wouldn't do any good to look anyway since she couldn't read. Her attention only wavered back to the boys when Henry brought up his Were form. It was obvious he was uncomfortable talking about it but what surprised her even more was when Nadya joined in, mentioning that he'd hated his feline form when she talked to him. Malia's brow rose in interest. So he hated his Were form?

In some ways, she felt her and Henry shared a situation, just in reverse. Where she spent most of her life in Were form and didn't know what to do with herself as a human, Henry got turned into a Were by accident and suddenly found that he could be an animal and didn't know what to do about it. It was as awkward for him to be on four legs as it was for her to be on two. Maybe it was fate that they met the way they did. He was the first human to reach out to her and show her how to be human, and he didn't even know what she was then. But he had pulled away from her when she tried to bring up him being a Were. She understood now that he didn't really understand what was happening to himself and it probably terrified him. She just wished he would had opened himself up and let her help like he did for her. But then there was a time when she was in denial too. So alike yet so different.

She took a sip of her wine, making it a small sip cause she wasn't sure if she was going to like it. Surprisingly, she found it to be light and smooth, not fruity but not too bitter either. And she liked the warmth it brought under her skin. Not as much as the fruity drinks she'd had with Henry and Tetradore before but still enough to make her feel more at ease. Guess Henry needed that feeling too cause she saw him reach for the wine. She lifted one brow at him in amusement but held her tongue. Her gaze turned to Frost as he explained what a Burlesque was and she snapped her gaze to Nadya, her eyes twinkling as her lips tugged into a mischievous grin. "You danced on stage? Awesome! Can we go there sometime?" Malia had found a major release in dancing at some of the clubs in Sacrosanct since learning she could be human. Sometimes the two worlds got overwhelming and she had an uncontrollable urge for action so when she didn't want to shift and hunt, she would throw on some skimpy clothes and go dance, instead.
