What a glorious prize he had won! Tobias was nothing if not delighted with his 'hunt' as the Leopard scrambled back onto the roof, those prized glasses clamped between his jaws as the unfortunate Fae man was left to find his way back onto his feet. The Greek words the Fae uttered were all but ignored by the cat. Tobias, after all, cared little for English, let alone any other language. It was only the man's utterance that he was 'curious' that prompted one spotted ear to twitch backward in recognition before the Leopard proceeded to toss those glasses about in play. He would keep them. Yes. Probably forever. He would take them back to show Tetradore. His Alpha would surely be pleased. Probaby thrilled. Tobias, after all, so hardly considered that a pair of reading glasses might not bring his companion the same delight it did himself. It was the Fae's sudden insistence however that he suspected Tobias was 'not from around here' that prompted the jungle cat to pause. Those glasses were placed carefully beneath his large paw, his head rolling backward to peer from the roof with golden eyes down at the man below him- that look very near curious. The sudden smile upon the Fae's features however seemed to coax an almost curious look to Tobias' own. People did not smile at him very often. What a funny man. Tobias' gaze turned back to those glasses, the cat determined to return to his game- at least until that delightful morsel of meat appeared.
The smell of that lamb alone seemed to coax the Leopard's attention as Tobias' gaze fixated upon his newfound company once more. Lamb was a treat. A special treat. How that animalistic part of himself desired that very thing! Yet....that human side was reluctant to give up those 'shinies' he had fairly won. The Fae men held that treat out towards him, his want for a trade distinctly care. Tobias did love to trade. He always had. Ever since he had been small. That internal debate seemed to exist for several long moments as the Leopard glanced between those glasses and the lamb being held out towards him- a decision, at last, finally being made. The leopard pulled back from that roof, Tobias disappearing for a moment until to allow that transformation to come over him. The leopard was suddenly replaced with a man. Tobias, now in human form, allowed his jean-clad legs to hang off the roof ledge. His dark eyes stared down beneath his shaggy, dark hair as his bare feet swung in the air (Tobias had refused to wear shoes since he was two years old). Those glasses were held in his fingertips now, the young man twirling them about before abruptly offering them to the man below him- only to reach out an snatch that lamb from him at the same time.
Tobias so hardly wasted time, that lamb hurriedly lifted to his lips before the young man all but devoured that tasty morsel. It was a shame to lose those glasses and yet lamb was better than shinies. His tongue brushed over his lips, licking what was left from them before his dark eyes focused on the Fae again.
"Do....you....h....h....have....more?"
Those words were broken. Each syllable was a clear struggle- and yet, Tobias looked toward the man expectantly.
"Why....why....do you have.....the shinies?"
It was a seemingly unusual question. Tobias questioning why the man had glasses at all, his hand reaching to point towards the 'shinies' in question. Something about them, it seemed, had intrigued his interest. The once-Leopard near oblivious to the scene his sudden transformation had caused.
