kissing death and loosing my breath
After the halloween party, which Serafina chalked up to being a massive failure, the young girl had been quite certain that she would have no suitors for a long time coming. Her familiar seemed content to drive away any male presence surrounding her - a fact which vexed her to no end. She had condemned herself to this life of solitude. Even the wolf often chose not to spend any extended amount of time in her presence before she ran off to what Serafina could only assume was the family she had met trailing behind her at the halloween event. Seeing Davante again hadn't crossed her mind for some time, enough so that she had been genuinely surprised to find him not only on her door step but with the renewed desire to take her out to a night on the city....or, in this case, half way across the country. Regardless of her concerns for leaving, the young girl did do her best to be the polite girl, inviting him inside even if her house was not entirely in the state she'd want it for company. It was hardly messy, per say, but it was still too cluttered with her mentor's things for her own comfort. Thankfully, he denied the invitation with a comment suggesting to perhaps darker intents should he cross the threshold, a notion that brought her eyebrows raising up wards in an almost skeptical gesture.

Certainly she had crossed the boundary with him on more then one occasion but his reactions always seemed...controlled at best. In her time alone, she'd worried that perhaps she had come on too strong. Perhaps he was disinterested within her and she was entirely incapable of reading his need for her magic from an actual interest in her. Tonight's gesture, however, sent the young woman questioning their intentions once again, an inquiry that would never leave her lips. Her grey tinged gaze shifted towards the car parked in front of her house, the engine rumbling softly, clearly waiting for their return. A small frown crossed her lips as she considered in completely impractical fashion on how much gas he must surely be waiting for her. After all, what did one even wear on a date to Paris? Serafina offered him the smallest of simpers, nodding ever so slightly before, in an almost uncharacteristically shy fashion, she slowly shut the door to the front of her home behind her.

The first concern that crossed the young girls mind was the simple fact that Serafina had absolutely nothing to wear out on a date - any date, much less to some exotic place. Although, by now she was considering the probability that they were not simply jumping on an airplane to leave the country. Regardless, she certainly had no little black go to dress, the one from the masquerade had required considerable shopping excursions to find. A frown crossed her lips as she headed up the stairs, spending a full minute shifting through her wardrobe in an effort to decide what would be even remotely acceptable. In the end, what she'd managed to come up with still didn't have what she would consider a date attribute but it certainly clung in all the right areas and looked far better then what she had worn to work. After another moment staring at herself in the mirror to ensure she looked as perfect as she possibly could without polluting the air too much, the girl returned to the front of her porch, inquisitively ready for the next trick that Davante had up his sleeve.
