He never liked horses. As a human boy, he was wary of the flighty creatures. Their size, their wild eye, their big, heavy feet and nimble legs. Too much work for what? For sore leg muscles and bruised balls the next day. But back in Ireland, it was a homage, a popular past time that lasted through the centuries in many of the old families around Dublin. His sisters rode often and rode well. Him and his brother were expected the same, despite the general loathing of the animal and of the sport. But decades -- hell, centuries -- had passed since he'd last sat atop one of these animals. And Dareios would rather wrap his genitals in silver before he'd climb aboard one again. So the vampire kept his distance from the large animal, knowing well that this was no ordinary stallion. It had the mind of a supernatural, which made it all the more unruly and dangerous. Nevertheless, he welcomed the odd run-in, at least for now. It was an interesting distraction, if nothing else. But as the creature enters his personal space, Dareios stiffens. He can feel the animal's hot breathes against his cold skin. It's a strange sensation but Darerios hardly reacts. Instead he eyes the animal, watching its own eyes, searching for some better way to communicate with it. The horse continues to poke around his body and briefly Dareios wonders if this is some kind of weird sexual thing. Not that he's out to judge anyone, but those circles did indeed exist in this town. People's preferences for others' bodies had expanded far beyond what Dareios had ever dreamed of, given his many years on this earth. So when the horse finally latches onto his wallet, he's almost relieved. Dareios watches the horse trot off, considering letting him leave with his belongings. The money in his wallet of was of little value to him. He had plenty more in the bank. But the hassle of getting new credit cards and replacing his information made him sigh and carry on after the beast. "Alright, that's enough." He says casually, following in line behind the animal's loud, thumping strides. "What do you want?" Dareios | Vampire | Vinyl |
