I'll love you for a thousand more....
Well, atleast she was starting to learn her way around the city.
Scarlett was slowly starting to memorize the streets and directions to places she went to frequently, making traversing the city much easier. She still needed assistance from her phone and strangers on the streets, but she wasn't getting lost nearly as much. It would still be a slow process, adapting to city life. The noise, smells, and mass amount of other people made her rather uncomfortable. Everything was so drastically different than her small country town, it still left her head spinning. She would eventually grow used to it, but she wasn't sure she'd ever grow to really like it.
It was really, really early in the morning. Normally she would have enjoyed staying curled up, nice and warm in her bed, but for whatever reason she simply could not go to sleep. It made her....grumpy. She had tossed and turned but when she couldn't go to sleep she knew, like back when she lived in the country, that she needed to go for a walk. So, Scarlett threw on a jacket and some jeans and headed out, hands shoved deep in jacket pockets. Her pace was leisurely, her sigh coming out in a small cloud in the cool morning air. Almost no one was out, the occasional car driving by and the rare light on in an apartment. Everyone was asleep, and she should be too.
She moves in a sleepy daze, hardly noticing the male were creature on the opposite side of the street until his shout shattered the silence. "Will you fucking shut-up!" Scarlett immediately jumped in surprise, emerald eyes widening as they shot over to the blond male. Who the hell was he talking to? She looked around to see absolutely no one around him as he began to start kicking at a lamp post. It was hard to really see in the darkened light of the morning, luckily he stood beneath the light that he was currently....trying to beat up? Her eye brows furrowed in confusion, what a strange individual. She would be best to stay away from him, and yet she found herself moving closer to him.
She crossed the street, not even glancing both ways as there were no cars to worry about. She approached with hesitance, not sure if he would lash out at her in his....diluted state. He was leaned against the light pole now, his eyes hidden which sent up warning signals in her: eyes were a good tell as to a persons intentions. Her presence was entirely friendly, a wave of calm and comfort seeming to roll off of her naturally. "Are you okay?" she asked, eye brow arching up slightly in curiosity and slight concern. She may not know him, but him being a were creature brought an instinctual care.
"You're not on drugs, are you?" She asked, eyebrows furrowing in distaste at the idea as her eyes scanned up and down his body. He seemed healthy, could use a hair cut, but alright and handsome. If she could help him she would, but first she needed to get to the bottom of what the hell was going on with him.
