In truth, Chizue had always been a particularly gentle soul. Her transformation from mortal girl to vampire had been quite traumatic for her and so for the past hundred or so years she had quite literally locked herself away from the world at large - venturing from the safety of her home within Eastern Asian only when necessary. At least, such had been her world until a series of unfortunate events had dragged the girl from the comfort of her safety and out into this city - so completely displaced from the quietude she had built up around her. This city, it would seem, had a fashion of taking the woman off guard, quite literally throwing her into dangers she had done well up to this point to avoid. He was perhaps the most frightening thing she had encountered yet. His rather pleased grin was returned with the smallest twitch of her sweet heart lips, her simper was weak at best and yet her eyebrows furrowed as he so dismissively waved off her admittance for hunger. A hungry vampire was a hazardous one, that Chizue knew well. She had seen her kind starve themselves before - just as she too knew her control waned when her body's needs had been too long ignored. Still, she hardly objected to him, instead fidgeting ever so slightly at her uncertainty until his hand was outplaced towards her.

Gingerly she slid her own cold, slender fingertips within his - nearly surprised by the warmth of his touch. It had been a very long time indeed since the young girl had felt such a sensation. For a moment, the heat coming from her skin made her forget her fears. For a moment, she wanted little more than to continue to simply touch him, to feel the warmth of his body radiate against her eternal coldness. The thought alone was enough to bring a rosey hue to the apple of her cheeks, her deep, chocolate eyes momentarily drifting upwards to glance at his firm expression. The man's facial features alone were enough to chase away such fleeting fancies, the domineering expression upon his face had a fashion of reminding her that she was, once again, dealing with fire. Although he was tempting, although he was warm, he had every capability of burning her. It was that memory which caused the girl to blurt out an inquiry that she otherwise might have left to herself.

His laughter seems to resonate around her, causing her a sense of discomfort though it's quickly offset by the sensation of his fingers moving against her all too sensitive skin. For a moment her gaze darts downwards towards their hands, still interlocked, before drifting back up to the man's amused expression. His words hardly served to reassure the girl, a frown etching its way across her sweetheart lips as she slowly pulled her hand back from his grasp and into her own lap. Gingerly, her fingertips caressed where he had touched her hand, the warmth of his skin still seemed to linger upon her flesh. She glanced upwards at him, noting the fashion at which his eyes seemed to bore into her. There was an intensity about his gaze, one that felt as if he could see through her and straight into her heart. She watched him with a growing sense of unease as he continued, her eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly at the mention of assisting him. "Helping...you?" She repeated in a soft inquiry, her soprano voice was entirely hesitant, "with....what?" If it came down to a small favor for her life, Chizue was perhaps entirely willing to do whatever was necessary so that she could escape back to the comforting silence of her hotel room.
