North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

So try to love me
And i'll try to save you

It seemed like an eternity since the last time Scarlett bad been in Sacrosanct, her feet mindlessly caring her down the streets to a familiar place: a park she had spent an evening in with a certain werehorse, a place of good memories. In reality, the events that had transpired only made it feel like everyday was a year, in actuality she'd only been gone a few months. At first, she hadn't wanted to come back, to have to start over and pick of the pieces of a puzzle she hadn't even completed in the first place when it would be so much easier just to curl up in a ball and disappear. But that was not who Scarlett was, she was stronger than anyone would ever know, so despite the pain she felt she had gotten back up and come back to Sacrosanct to try and rebuild some semblance of the life she had left behind because of a phone call.

The news reporters would have been correct this morning that the weather was supposed to warm and sunny, but with Scarlett's emotions being directly affected by her emotions, in particular sadness, there was nothing they could do to predict the rain clouds that seemed to manifest so suddenly and engulf the city. Her face was low to hide the tears the streamed down her cheeks, a childish worry that someone would see or care, and to focus on keeping the rain from falling. But the closer she got to the park, the harder the rain began to fall: from a drizzle to a heavy rain that sent people scurrying inside for cover. The storm was feeding off of her emotions, she couldn't control it now that it was entirely influenced by her sadness; when she cried, so too did the sky.

Scarlett walked into the vacated park, sitting on a park bench and tucking her knees into her chest. By now she was entirely soaked, goosebumps all across her arms as she had neglected to wear a jacket; it was supposed to be warm after all. Any shivering that she did was from the cold in her mind and not the cold that touched her skin. The young girl who was always so optimistic and full of warmth and light was being reduced to an empty, brokenness she hadn't felt since she was six and her parents had been stolen from her. She was alone in this world, with the recent death of her grandparents stripping her of what little remained of her family. She didn't belong in the Were community or with the humans, she simply was alone and these thoughts were killing her. She buried her face into her knees, crying harder with soft, pitiful sounds that were drowned out by the sound of the rain hitting the earth around her.

It was no wonder the sky cried with her.
