You would think I'd be smarter than this, letting myself trust a vampire whose hurt. It's bad enough when they just don't have the discipline to control themselves but a hurt vampire isn't really in full control, not in my opinion. They need blood to heal and wouldn't you know it, she's got the best kind of donor right in front of her, an addictive one at that. A little voice inside my head tells me to back off and come back another day but I still can't bring myself to leave her alone. She needs to get home safely and right now I'm the best option she has. I can't just leave her like this.

As her arm wraps around me, I try not to shiver. Damn, her skin is cold. Don't think I'll ever get used to that. "You're right, you will manage but having a friend like me has its perks so live a little." I wink at her teasingly. I help her outside and she draws a cab's attention. I open the door for her even as she rejects my help. I smirk. "No more than the usual attention, I'm sure." With her looks, she has to draw a pair of eyes every so often. They wouldn't be human (or otherwise) if they didn't at least look. None the less, I follow her into the cab and sit beside her, though careful not to impede on her space by sitting close enough to touch. I keep my hands to myself and look out the window as we drive, glancing over at her every so often just to make sure she's okay.

The mansion we pull up to is rather nice and I can't help but whistle as I take it in. I run outside and around to open her door before she can reject my help, giving her a cheeky grin as she steps out and then I walk close to the door, ready to help her should she start to fall. When the door opens, I'm surprised to see she has house help. Most vampires I thought liked to live alone and keep to themselves but she seems to be more social than I thought. I step a little back as the maids come out to see her, concern on their features and I raise a brow in surprise. Even though I've already come to realize Amelia is different, its still hard to see worry for a vampire in others eyes.

I look over as she offers me a drink, running a hand through my hair as I nod. "Ladies first." I wave my arm to coax her into going first since of course I wouldn't know my way around this house if it came with a built in GPS. I follow her into the house and watch her as she sits, making sure she can do it alright. I continue to look around, awed and mesmerized by the look of the place, plus it distracts me from the fact that she just asked for some blood to drink. I follow her gaze to the bar and chuckle under my breath, finally walking over to the butler. "Hey man, whiskey straight up please." I take the glass fro him and wander back over to sit by her. I try to distract myself by drinking while she gets her own glass from the woman, very thankful that I can't see through it.

At her sudden question, I shake my head. "I was just in the right place at the right time. You don't have to thank me, just worry about getting better."
