I know better than to ask about her eating habits. It would probably just upset me in some way if I knew where she was getting her blood. Everyone would like to think the "good" vampires just take small rations of blood bags from the local hospital to sustain themselves but everyone knows that fresh blood straight from the source is ten times better and there's no short supply of humans who like the feel of the bite in this world. Human blood donors are the trendiest thing and it wouldn't surprise me if she keeps one or a few around for her "needs." Doesn't mean I have to support it so I chose ignorance in this case. She laughs a little when I ask if it's a vampire place and I'm glad that it didn't offend her. She says that it's a Were place and she doesn't discriminate. I look away for a minute, slightly ashamed, I'll admit. Yes, I do discriminate. Even knowing her hasn't changed that. I smirk. "Nice to know you have an open mind." I can tell she's holding back when I ask if she's okay. She's trying to make light of the situation. I know it's for my benefit but I'm still concerned. I smile when she asks for my number, pulling out my phone in no time to hand it to her while I'm driving. "With pleasure. You can put yours in and take down mine. You know, since I'm driving. Wouldn't want the distraction." I smirk as I look forward at the road. When she brings up my car, I laugh. "Oh, touche. I could possibly have a mini version of a stake in the back of my pants but by all means, if you're going to feel me up with your eyes, at least let me know so I can enjoy it more." I grin and give her a teasing wink. "So, how much further?" |
