Normally Ceara wasn't a person to throw "parties", she found them crowded, noisy, and there was always someone bent on destroying something by the end of the night, not to mention handing out drinks on the house wasn't exactly high on her like list. She was very much OCD about her bar, the cleanliness and its reputation for being what Syn wasn't...classy. She also wasn't usually keen on socializing with other vampires, her own history of them being sketchy at best including her turning, save for Anna-Marie who had turned out to be a mentor of sorts. However, all things aside, it was a full moon and not just any full moon but one that landed on Friday the 13th. The superstition of such an occasion had no written record before the 19th Century and simply was a mash-up of the fact that 13 was supposed to be an unlucky number and Friday the unlucky day of the week. Ceara could beg to diff on at least one of those accounts since Friday was perhaps one of her best nights besides Saturday since that was when everyone got paid and came to drink their paychecks. It never stopped the film makers from making big money off the superstition though.

So, Ceara had decided to embrace it as well; Were's would be off enjoying the full moon so why not have the vampire equivalent of a get together, whatever that looked like nowadays. She had decided to close early to her regular patrons, something she had never done before, and currently was ushering one out the front door. "Good night Mr.Baxon, send your wife my regards." Pleasantries were a necessity in this business when it came to her regulars and honestly she quite liked the older well-dressed gentlemen. He attended her bar throughout the week, always in a suit of some sort, tipped the staff well, and the buddies he brought were the same. He was a warlock of some sorts working at some law office, a hotshot lawyer with a wife and no other family to speak of, beyond that Ceara knew very little. Ceara offered him a simper of a smile as he huffed good-heartedly but took his leave from the building. She took a moment to look up at the night sky, taking in how low the moon hung due to being so close to the summer solstice before closing the door behind Mr.Baxon which now held a sign in the window now stating 'Closed For Event' to ensure only those who had been invited would enter.

Ceara's scrutinizing gaze swept over her bar as she weaved through the tables and along the small booth lounge area. Everything was where she wanted it, where it should be, the music was low to allow for talking but the beat could be heard, a hypnotic sound fit for her Voodoo vibe. Her bartender, the slightly elderly fellow, stood behind the polished wooden bar, busying himself with preparing the glasses. She had had enough of his intolerance and wasn't going to risk him ruining the night so went against her usual rule of not using her power on the staff and hypnotized his brain silly into being a good little bartender. She'd figure out what to do with him after tonight. She had also hired a few "blood dolls", humans willing to be fed from, whom were scattered through the bar talking or lord knew what else Ceara didn't care as long as they continued to behave. All there was to do was wait to see if anyone showed. She had had her good dayprotector Yolan deliver invitations to each vampire's residence in the city a couple days prior after a newcomer named Damon had traipsed in and shown an interest to know about others living here. This would perhaps be the best bet for him, and herself, to get a real account of how many of them there actually were lurking in the shadows of her dear Sacrosanct.
