Powers is something I know nothing about. Sure, I've always known that I was different from the other coyotes. I could think logically about thing when they could only think in single word thoughts. I had to order them around during a hunt or they would ruin it all by scattering and yipping at everything like a pack of chihuahuas. I also know that I'm stronger than the average coyote. I learned that as a pup when I accidentally injured one of my pack siblings and Mira, the coyote who served as my mother for all intensive purposes, had to explain to me that I wasn't born in the pack and therefore she has no idea what I'm truly capable of.

I adapted and learned how to hold my punches, so to speak. I could stil play with the other pups and practice tackling and biting and all that. I was just careful. I've been careful my whole life.

I have that itchy sensation in my head that someone is snooping but it's not easy to understand. That shouldn't be possible, right? How can someone do that, let alone a weird deer thing?

He chuckles when I say that his life story is probably boring. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, just honest.

He seems deep in thought about something but when I say something about the twitching, he twitches his eye before shrugging and I sigh heavily. "You should never take up acting. You sorta suck at it." I tilt my head in amusement.

I scowl when he tells me that I'm a Were. I roll my eyes. "You think I haven't been told that, well, at least twice since coming here? I've met other Were's here and they educated me. It's the whole shifting thing that throws me off. How can you just change, just like that?" I snort and narrow my eyes at him. "And watch who you call Puppy. I'm considered a young adult in my pack."

I wouldn't know anything about the whole different species not being able to interact. Sure, I've tried speaking with other animals besides my own pack and found I couldn't do it. I can only interact with my pack and the only other two Were's I know, the panther and the wolf.

When shifting is mentioned, he starts to explain and I do find myself leaning forward a little, rapt with attention for this discussion. When he mentions teaching me, my eyes light up for a moment or so. "Would you really?" I can't hide my excitement.

I tell him that it would be a little insulting to follow a horse and I can tell he's less than amused. The simper on his lips is a tell tale sign. I tilt my head as he tells me that he'll teach me to shift and show me some sort of power. I furrow my brows in disbelief when he says that it should be simple to make me submit. He obviously has not seen my true strength. I grin, showing all my teeth as my tail swishes in anticipation. "Sounds good to me. Let me show you how much of a 'puppy' I am."

And with that, I launch myself at his leg, turning my head to try to bite down on his ankle, not enough to break, but just enough to make him go down. If I get it in my mouth, I'll latch down and shake, trying to drag his leg out form under him and take him to the ground. I make sure to watch for a kick or even a punch or whatever he might do in his human form in retaliation or defense. If he shifts, I'll be trying to for the closest front leg and I'll drag it toward his opposite side and back to pull him off balance and still get him to topple over in the front. I know that everyone is always weaker on ground level.
