North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

The vampire followed behind that petite figure further into that estate. The building had clearly been torn asunder, though, by what, Sebastian hadn't the faintest of clues. A small frown crossed the vampire's features as his fingers reached out to gingerly brush against one of the few remaining walls. For several moments, he was content to allow Anna-Marie out of his sight, after all his entire intent to come here was in an effort to understand his own origins. This place, these ruins, they were the very heart of that change within his maker to what she was today - and if it were not for that, he wholeheartedly believed his own death would have never happened at her hands. Everything led back to here. He wasn't quite sure what he was searching for, nor was he even certain he'd know it when he found it and yet, having the possibility of some sort of answer was surely better than the previous two hundred years he'd spent in utter ignorance of his existence. It was only at the sound of the young girl's voice that his own inspection of the place came to a rather abrupt end and, quickly, the man closed the distance between himself and his maker, that scream echoing in the darkness that surrounded them.

For a moment, he simply watched her, listening to those words that had left her lips before gathering that girl within his arms to carry her away from those remains. He was remiss to leave, truly, after all, there could be something here to provide them all with the answers they yearned and yet, it was entirely instinctual to ensure his maker hardly came to any harm by his own hand, or lack thereof. He settled with her upon the ground, his hands cupped her face, those soft French lyrics attempted to calm her, to reassure her that what ever had happened was in the past, it was gone and over and she was safely here with him instead. Still, what little knowledge he had of the female was hardly enough to prepare him for that subtle shift in her. He was aware, vaguely, of that change in her gaze, his eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as his name fell from her lips in a tone he'd certainly never heard from her. He remained silent, the vampire listened keenly to those words she uttered to him and yet, they offered him little but more confusion. Don't trust anyone? He hardly even knew anyone from there - except, of course...Ceara? Still, she had informed him that she had been more akin to Anna-Marie's child, perhaps more so then even he had ever been. "Not even...Ceara?" He questioned, those contemplative eyes turned towards her, though why he found himself wholly trusting her in that singular moment, he hadn't the slightest of ideas. She had been nothing but trouble for him - since the very beginning.

That soft sound of rustling leaves drew his attention, if only for how it so captivated hers and yet, there was scarcely a soul upon those ruins but them, not that he had expected there to be. It had been over two hundred years since this place had fallen. That soprano voice drew his attention once again, the corner of his lips twitched into a frown as a soft sigh left his mouth. His bright blue eyes darted back towards the crumbling remains and yet, he knew well he wouldn't get a chance to explore here again - not with her. "Yeah, sure." He commented, unable to keep that disappointment from his English accent as he helped the girl up, rising to stand beside her. He hardly said a word as he led the girl from that estate, even if his bright blue eyes glanced over his shoulder ever so often at that building as it disappeared further and further away with each step they took. Thankfully, the vampire had seen fit to do his research prior to their landing within the country, ensuring that shop would be open despite the late hour. He paused before that emerald green building, the storefront held several porcelain dolls within it's windows, another taken up entirely by a unique hand-made house. "Surprise." The word fell from his lips halfheartedly and yet, he knew well she would love it all the same, even if his own heart was no longer into it.
