Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

It was perhaps an oddly quiet evening for the pair. Dorian having spent the better part of the past few nights so attempting to further master his newfound affinity, one of which the man was still reluctant to accept in its fullest capacity and yet one that caused him no end of wonderment. So much so that Sebastian's garden was the only garden within the entire street in nearly full bloom despite the season. Dorian so having become taken with experimenting within it while his companion watched on before he had at last turned his interests to the vampire himself. It was a constant source of bother to the Monarch that his consort did not seem to be in possession of that ethereal glow that beset all others around them, Dorian so having come to discover that when his lover fed the man did, indeed, glow just as the others and yet it was never quite right. That light that so seemed to surround and emit from his own form seemed unable to....stick to Sebastian, as if it was borrowed, temporary, surrounding him without touching him fully. Dorian assured that there was a way, even if he had not yet discovered it, so somehow shift that light into the vampire and yet of that desire he had made no outward mention to Sebastian. If only for his companion's constant ability to worry of things. That- Dorian thinks, would be far easier to simply surprise his lover with when the time was right. All other experiments however, the vampire had held truly little reservation in so attempting to assist him if only for that mutual satisfaction it so seemed to afford them both. Dorian so having come to discover that the light that surrounded Sebastian could be used up, the more energy the vampire was given to expel and the faster his heart could be made to beat, the more blood it used- the less life he had. Ah, but how intriguing it was to so find ways in which to make his lovers heart beat faster!

Tonight however, Dorian had found himself afflicted with a laziness of sorts, the Monarch nestled firmly within those dark coloured sheets of Sebastian's bed, his head resting within his companions lap- a book held within his hands and angled just so as to capture the light from Sebastian's reading lamp. The Fae King long since having given up attempting to understand Sebastian's London Times newspaper, the vampire seeming eternally fascinated by it, pausing between the occasional sip of his tea to inform Dorian of something he found of interest else to mutter something in a decidedly English fashion the Fae King hardly understood and yet took amusement in all the same. The silver of his gaze returned to his own book, a textbook borrowed from Elizabeth that so detailed the anatomy and function of the human body- Dorian utterly taken with it if only because it was so decidedly different from any lesson on form and function he had ever known. The advancements of science were a marvel to him, the occasional gasp of surprise so leaving his lips before he proceeded to read out whatever it was that fascinated him in that moment, Sebastian entirely content to indulge him. Their evening utterly peaceful.

"You know, we shall have to get ready soon if we are to go out."

He muses the words easily, making no effort to actually move despite his desire to take Sebastian out tonight, the Fae King entirely pleased with himself in that moment for so having made their plans for later in the evening. Dorian shifts once more, re-adjusting his shirtless form ever so slightly, mused hair sticking up in all directions before his gaze returns to his book, eyes widening ever so slightly before his features frown in concentration.

"Bastien?"

His head tilts backward within his lovers lap, silver gaze staring upward and towards his lover once more, that near impish simper so tracing his features as he regards the vampire momentarily.

"Do you think perhaps, that sometimes, when you are hungry- that you may in fact be- "

He pauses briefly, gaze glancing down at his book once more in search of that word he had learned but moments ago.

"...thirsty? Because you are 'dehydrated'?"

That teasing simper upon his lips is parted only by the chuckle that rises in his throat, Dorian entirely content to tease at the vampire if only because he can. The Fae King so entirely at ease within his companions company that those delicate, playful nuances of his personality are far more prone to displaying themselves when in Sebastian's presence alone. Dorian so gesturing to that place in his book that described this sensation of dehydration, hunger, a need for water and its effects upon the mortal form. The Fae King so turning back to his book now, simper still in place.

"Perhaps, Mon Cher, you have just been dehydrated all this time."
