Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It wasn't often the vampire voiced those distinctly British phrases. They were such a part of his vocabulary that Sebastian often had to take great care to ensure that such slang remained unvoiced. However, it was when he found himself truly at ease, as he so often was within Dorian's presence, that such syllables slipped from his lips entirely intentionally. His use of the word 'bugger' surely one such momentary slip up. The vampire's cerulean gaze shifted towards his companion, so eying that baffled look he was so given as the King questioned after what such a word meant. His own lips pressed together ever so slightly in thought, his shoulders shrugging ever so slightly. "Ah, bugger. Um..." Sebastian paused, entirely unsure of how to explain the expletive. "It's a British phrase. I suppose it's used to mean something is...unsatisfactory. It's like...." He paused, his head tilting to the side as he considered a word that Dorian might be more familiar with. "Mannaggia." It was the first Italian word the vampire had ever spoken in the presence of his companion, more often preferring that French dialect that they so shared and yet, when it came to explaining curses, he was entire assured it was best to utilize what he was certain was his companion's own native tongue.

Regardless, Sebastian was entirely assured they would find the restaurant that had so captivated his lover's attention enough to pull the pair out of the warmth of his bed. His own navy eyes scanned the still busy streets of the city as they made their way towards the more upscale shopping district of his own neighborhood. He was all too content to keep the same lackadaisical pace of his companion, hardly rushed in any facet to so arrive to their giving destination. After all, if there was not tonight, then he was assured too tomorrow would come or the night after that, the vampire was all to oblivious of the reservation made within their name that so awaited them. It was the street the Dorian paused upon that saw his own gaze shift to the street sign attached to the nearby lamp post, his own head bobbed but seconds later in agreement. The vampire was all too content to remain silent as Dorian attempted to lead them to the address he had spoken of earlier, only gently tugging at his lover's hand any time they ventured off course. It was endearing, in a way, the fashion that Dorian so strove to memorize the streets. One day, he would have to show the King the maps that were held electronically in his phone, it certainly made processes such as this all the easier.

Regardless, once they had found the street they were searching for, finding the restaurant was hardly all that difficult. His own eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as he observed the crowd that stood out front of the building. He was all too aware of the higher caliber of clientele, even if they were generally underdressed and yet, in the wake of that observation came a far more pressing one. The sheer number of vampires. It was that presence of his own kind that so demanded the heightening of his senses, those more protective tendencies so readily rushing to the service as he remained all too close to Dorian's side as the King stepped into the restaurant. His own gaze cautiously wandered over the inhabitants, clearly inquisitive as to what might coax so many of his species to this particular place. After all, vampires were territorial by nature, a gathering such as this did not occur without a promising reason. Hesitantly, the vampire settled within his own seat, his gaze entirely steadfast upon his lover as the fae King sat across from him. The vampire hardly even glanced at the menu handed to him before Dorian's voice so pulled at him.

Those words offered to him provided but a glimpse into his own lingering inquiries before Dorian's hand gestured towards his menu. His own gaze slowly drifted downwards towards the crimson menu in his hand, and slowly, a look of surprise crossed his features. Well, this explained quite a good amount of his species presence here tonight, much less the very reason why they all chose to put up with each other's existence in such a small space. It was all for the promise of blood and a glimpse of some sort of normalcy with their companion's. What an ingenious business venture this was! An entirely warm simper so crossed his features as he beamed up as his companion, "Thank you, Dorian." He uttered softly, all too aware that something like this required some level of forethought, specifically of him. His gaze fell back down towards the menu he had been presented with, studying each item to so decide what sort of peculiar creation he was willing to try. After all, it was altogether a rarity since Sebastian had fed upon the blood of animals and yet, it had too been quite sometime since he had eaten to his fill too. The menu managed to sound appetizing enough to so offer the possibility that tonight, he might be provided a glimpse of that life he was eternally after.

His own glee only further increased as he went over the menu, the occasional 'oooo', so leaving his lips as he so struggled over which of the delicacies he so wished to enjoy. It took a moment longer still before he had come to a conclusion on his choice of dinner for tonight and soon, his own gaze turned inquisitively towards that of his lover. "What are you getting?" He inquired, entirely curious of what Dorian's menu consisted of. Although there was little denying he intended to enjoy every ounce of blood he was given, even Sebastian couldn't deny the allure of good food, regardless of how little it benefited him. After all, every facet of his lover was entirely intriguing to him, even if it was as insignificant as Dorian's own choice of his dinner for their evening.
