Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
That tug around the small panda's neck was wholly unexpected, that gag leaving her lips at that momentary sensation of suffocation before she was entire left alone....and alive? Well this was unexpected. Not that she was complaining! She liked being alive! And this um...ribbon...thingie? Was it a ribbon? She couldn't tell. She shifted to her side, her little head turning this way and that in an effort to see what it was before the girl flopped on her back entirely in an effort to glance down her stomach. What wasss ittt?! She gave up. Mostly because there were cookies in front of her. She could smell that sweetness, her nose twitching ever so slightly, and in that moment, sweets seemed to be enough to send that terrified, concerned Panda into some sort of complacent creature. Sorta. She'd hardly forgotten that this child had declared her as her's, nor did she intend to stay the WHOLE time but...vampire's slept during the day right? So...she just...had to stay here....all night...and play tea party...and not be dead...and then she'd be good and safe! That didn't seem so hard right? Oh gawd.
Abigail's ears twitched at the sound of her new found name, the girl's fingers running through her fur entirely captured her attention. A soft chirp left her lips, though she had quickly turned her attention back towards those cookies, taking another with her front paw to nibble on it. She was willing enough to at least pretend she was no different from any ordinary creature, if that benefited her ability to survive tonight. Her hazel eyes glanced upwards at the girl's mention of this Mrs. Nibbit, though the name was altogether meaningless to her. It sounded like the name someone would give a rabbit or something. Was there another animal friend stuck here? Still, she doubted it was were like she was...hell, she doubted it was even alive given what she'd seen of late. The mention of tea saw the girl pause, her head tilting to the side as she was given a cup and saucer, the dishware itself was entirely fascinating to the young Panda. It was all pretty and delicate and breakable. Maybe this was best she was careful....heaven forbid she like...broke it and the girl went crazy and killed her. She couldn't help but to wonder if maybe that's what happened to the other girl.
Slowly, Abigail approached that cup, sniffing at the content's wearily. She leaned forward, that tongue sticking out to lap at the tea in front of her. Well, she supposed the tea wasn't too bad. It wasn't quite like she was used to at home but she was willing to drink it. It was the young child's voice that distracted her, inquiring after her species. Wait. Magic?! Yes! SHE WAS MAGIC. Her head bobbed enthusiastically, the prospect of being a magic panda seemed tantalizing enough. Maybe that would make her more valuable. That was good right?! What she didn't expect, however, was the declaration that Abigail now lived HERE. Wait a second...she wasn't so sure about this. Sleeping here? With her? Play together all the time? Somehow, she suspected she wasn't going to last very long...best to just agree and um...escape later. That seemed good right? The little panda chirped in response, hoping that alone was adequate enough before polishing off her cookie. She put her nose to the front of the table, sniffing for more of the substance as her tail swung behind her, knocking over her tea cup in the process. The noise alone was enough to make the red panda scurry across the table before looking back at the cup in an accusatory fashion. Oops?
