Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Many royal weddings had occurred within the 21st century. With the amount of Royals coming of age during this time period, and others growing into adulthood, there would be many royal weddings occurring. However, there wouldn't be a royal wedding like this one. This was the wedding of the century, perhaps, of all time. And the lowly meek werewolf was invited by the King of Italy himself to witness this special, monumental occasion. The lupine was thankful that she was even considered to be there in attendance. The two of them had a close friendship, and the King himself would be walking her down the aisle on her own special day. Although Dorian had the utmost faith that her deviant companion would be perfectly fine, Raven didn't share the same belief. Telling Tobias to do something didn't mean he would follow it perfectly or perform in a way you would want him to. No, you had to really think long and hard on how you wanted him to be while explaining it to him in a manner in which he would comprehend. Luckily the beginning of the big day went off without a hitch. Waking up beside her mate she found his eyes held that golden color, a clear sign that his other half was in control.

Getting ready for the ceremony wasn't that much of a hassle. The man was capable of taking a shower and getting dressed all on his own without her assistance. It helped her tremendously, that her mate was there to help keep her wits about as they were standing and sitting among the highly esteemed guests. The young lupine was absolutely petrified to be in the same room as them. The Queen herself was nearby, far too close for her own comfort. And then there was the Pope himself! Surely God would not allow her to be in the same room as the man that represented him. The lupine looked up, ducking her head slightly, as if she expected lightning to strike her down. It was how the leopard embraced her in a hug to hold her still for a moment and allow her to breathe and calm down, easing her to sit and simply enjoy the moment. The man was using her own trick to help keep him settled, holding her in that tender, but strong clasp. If her mate was his usual self then sitting there with the invited guests, waiting for the ceremony to begin, would have been painfully difficult. Yet it was wonderful to sit beside her mate as they murmured softly to one another.

As they watched the vows take place Raven's attention on the Fae and Vampire were broken once she felt Tobi's hand grab her own, his thumb brushing over the engagement ring hidden underneath her gloves. The lupine couldn't help, but give him a warm grin as she rested her header on his shoulder, watching as Dorian and Sebastian finished their vows. As the Pope began the process of making Sebastian a Prince Raven could sense something was changing. No, it wasn't the ethereal feeling of a vampire becoming royal. Rather it was that subtle shift within her companion that made her look over to her mate with a look of concern. Biting her lip she watched as his golden eyes turned into that familiar coal black. Gently she would grab his hand pressing it gently, to help him focus on her. The last thing she needed was for him to stand up and cause a scene while the vampire was being crowned. Luckily he remained sitting quietly, looking around, not causing any problems. As soon as the ceremony was complete and they were being told to leave she kept her hand in his own, as they went towards their car. It didn't bother her at all to be inside the car as they went towards the reception. Being inside the car allowed them a chance to be alone before they were tossed back into a part of society that they had no part in being. Inside the car Raven explained to her fiancé what should and should not be done when they go to the reception, and why it was best that they be on their best behavior for their friends.

Getting out of the car she looked up shying away from the cameras and reporters. It was natural for her to not want the attention. The sounds of all those clicks unsettled her to no end. Seeing her mate messing around with his tie, she placed a hand on his chest, blocking him from touching it anymore. Seeing the rest of the guests leaving their cars and heading inside, she grabbed her companion's hand, following the procession. It was apparent that the werewolf was extremely nervous. Even though she had just sat in the Church with all these people, now attending a reception, where they would have to mingle with one another was absolutely mind boggling. As he led her through the hallway she made herself small as they squeezed by the other guests. When he stopped them in front of the large painting showing, well, himself, Raven couldn't help, but roll her eyes. Of course he would demand a photo that showed an artwork that showed his spotted self. Taking his phone, she held it up taking a few shots, giving it back to him, only to grab his hand. While the guests brushed past them, she kept her attention only upon her mate, blue-grey eyes meeting the dark ebony ones. With a small smile she spoke softly, gently, but there was a hint of a firmness to them.

"Now Tobi..Tobi...listen..Tobi..remember...you have to be on your best behavior. You need to be very good, okay?"

Raven couldn't stress that enough! He had to be good. He just had to be. She promised Dorian that he would be on his best behavior, and by God, she hoped she could keep it. The last thing she wanted to do was cause a problem. It would seem her request fell on deaf ears, because he quickly led her down the hallway towards their final destination. As they bustled past the different dignitaries, she uttered her soft and short apologies, praying they didn't think too ill of them. While they entered the room she couldn't help but marvel at the décor. Dorian really did out do himself with everything. Before she could take another look of the room, she was being led towards the massive table that held the food. Of course her spotted companion would be in awe and wonder of the amount of food! On the table were some glittering golden dishes and silverware. He would steal these. Yes, he would shove one of these plates or silverware down his pants or jacket. Thankfully though he was handed a paper plate, that he happily placed as much food as he could. Hearing the applause she turned her dial to see two familiar faces standing there. Softly she spoke gently to Tobi, grabbing a tray and giving it to him to place his plates to it.

"Tobi, I know you want to eat all the food, but we really should go say Hi to Dorian and Sebastian. And I promise you can eat the food as much as you want to. And Tobi, you don't have to stand like that...they won't take your food, I promise."

Taking him over to the line she stood patiently behind the other guests standing in line, waiting to say something to the happy couple. As soon as it was there turn she looked on in horror as her mate said, the incorrect celebratory praise. Now course he wouldn't understand that two men could be in love and get married. But to think that they were all dressed up like this for a birthday was...how the hell could he get that? Nervously she wringed her fingers together highly uneasy and upset. Looking worriedly at Dorian, her eyes flickered over to see Tobias leaving to go off, well, wherever he wished. Raven couldn't leave him alone with well-dressed esteemed guests...and his tray of food. Stuttering she spoke up attempting to speak as formally as she could.

"I um...he...well...What he meant to say is congratulations! We, well, I'm very happy for the both of you. I...oh dear. I swear Dorian, he'll be good."

Although Raven would have liked to stay and chat a little while longer, she could do no such thing. Perhaps later on in the night they could. Surely they would have a moment. After all he was the reason why they were here in the first place, and he allowed them a place to stay in his own estate. Of course they would speak again in a more comfortable setting with tea. Leaving the two of them behind her, she focused on finding her mate, as she mentally chastised herself for not bowing nor calling them by their former titles. His assistant had made it clear that in Italy she was to treat them like they should be, and she could not be so informal with them. Seeing her mate steal another's dessert right off their plate, she looked on in dismay. Before she could even get after him he stumbled into another man, this one wearing a crown. Worried she got closer, slipping her arm through his, and keeping still. The last thing she needed was to chase him again! Here they would stand if only to settle down, or at least have her mate not stumble into someone else. Keeping her eyes on the ground she lowered her dial, giving a polite curtsey to the man in charge of Spain. Softly she muttered to her mate, as she looked back up at the man he had accidentally walked into.

"Tobi, that is Felipe VI of Spain...I..um...Hello..y-your royal highness."
