Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
This day had arrived far quicker than she had anticpated it would. It did not seem like so long ago she had invited Dorian and Sebastian over to her home for dinner...only to cancel on them because she was bringing her daughter into this world. That alone was enough to make her head spin. Why she had a beautiful daughter was a mystery to her. But alas, she was eager to get out of the house. Tenley kept her cooped up far more than she liked. While she had been hiding the baby from the press, she knew that Sebastian and Dorian might both like to see what ruined their dinner. So she opted to fight the press, hoping that no one caught wind of her vaginal-born vampire daughter.
While Troy was out running a few errands for her, she was busy in the house preparing. She wore a beautiful black cocktail dress with her hair hung loosely over her shoulders in curls. Tenley wore a black and white polka dotted dress â€" adhering to Troy's desire that his daughter not be dressed solely in pink. Once they were ready and the baby fed, Amelia waited for Troy to come home. Dr. Greene hadn't cleared her yet to be intimate with Troy...no matter how much she wanted to damn near jump him, so the distance helped her settle herself.
As they walked into the venue, Amelia held Tenley close to her in a little baby sling, meant to shield her from onlookers. Perhaps people would just assume Amelia adopted a baby. While Tenley was already several pounds larger than birth and appearing to grow exponentially, it wouldn't look strange for her first outing. Amelia walked with Troy and took their seats at the font. Once seated for the ceremony, she scooted herself close to him so he could wrap his arm around her shoulder.
The ceremony had been beautiful and Amelia wondered what her own ceremony might look like if she ever got married. She liked to think that Troy was her life partner â€" but it was up to him to decide if that was truly the case. After all, she was a traditionalist afterall.
By the time they got settled in the reception hall, Amelia was damn near ready to take her heels off. Adding the extra weight of Tenley clearly made a difference and she made a mental note to purchase some insoles for her heels.
As Dorian and Sebastian entered the hall, she followed dutifully beside Troy as they came upon the pair and Anna-Marie...a vampire child that she had met before. She smiled thoughtfully at the other before she followed Troy to talk to Dorian and Sebastian. "Your ceremony was beautiful." While now was not the time to introduce her daughter, Tenley pushed a hand out of her sling and reached for the Fae king...no doubt itching for a taste of his blood. It was a good thing that Amelia packed a bottle. She took the little girl's hand, playing with her pudgy fingers to keep them occupied.
