Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
He could wake up to this sight every morning and never get tired of it. He reached out beside him, gently brushing her hair behind her ear as she slept. She truly looked like an angel with her dark hair falling all around her in waves and her eyes closed. She looked so peaceful. His hand slowly pulled the blanket down a little, revealing her bare shoulder. Her skin was soft as silk and just as smooth. He had done his best to love her all through the night, then held her close as sleep took them both. He leaned in, letting his lips gently brush her skin there. He could never tire of the taste of her. She was like the purest wine, sweet and yet satisfying. He smiled, lying back down on his side to further inspect her. She had fallen asleep on his arm and so he daren't move it, even though his hand had gone numb a few hours ago and quit tingling. He didn't care if he never felt it again. He wouldn't dare to disturb her sleep. He leaned in again, brushing his lips across her forehead this time. He continued this ritual until those beautiful sage eyes opened up. He gazed at her adoringly. "Good morning, my love. Did you sleep well in your indomitable fort? I hope you're ready for the adventures ahead." He leaned in, finally tasting her lips. He could lie here with her all week if she wanted but he knew it would only be a matter of moments before she was ready to head off into the unknown. It wouldn't take him long to pack, but he had to have his arm back first. |
