Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
There was only so many episodes of Naked and Afraid she could watch before it irritated the hell out of her. Why were they so uncomfortable about being naked? What was so hard about finding stuff to eat when they were practically surrounded by food sources like tigers and snakes? It was like humans couldn't fathom the part that they were supposed to be the apex predators in the world. They were supposed to be more intelligent and agile than anything else so why fear the approaching panther when they could easily spear it? Their weakness disgusted her. She knew she could this show, no problem. Of course, they probably wouldn't want to film her shifting phases. That might be considered cheating. "Oh well, I'd still rock a loin cloth." Not that she'd bother wearing it. She smirked as she flipped through a couple more channels before letting out a heavy sigh. Why did late night tv have to be so boring? There was literally nothing on and she wasn't up for dancing tonight. Maybe she'd just have to go hunt or something. About that time, she picked up on a tug in her pack bond. Frost was back. She didn't even know he was gone, really. Most of the time she didn't feel for her pack bond unless something tugged at it. She could tell that Frost was alive, but something was off. Scrunching up her nose, she lifted her head as the door opened softly. It was like he was sneaking in or something. She lifted a brow, but her eyes widened when she picked up on the scent of fresh blood. Instantly, she was on her feet, lips twitching as she followed him toward the bathroom. She made her steps light in case he thought he was alone downstairs. She heard the water running then felt the tug of pain in the pack bond. Finally she peeked around the doorway. Seeing the arrow through his arm, she hissed air through her teeth. "That looks like it hurt. It hurts just as much in the leg, I promise." |
