Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Maybe Malia had forgotten that meeting. Perhaps assigning her a time to arrive at a meeting as her final task of sorts, to assess her suitability as Beta, was too challenging. Her near inability to tell time, he supposed, having cast some doubt all the same and yet he'd maintinted faith in her. Faith that had perhaps been misguided. The stallion glanced towards that clock once more, that pen flicked within his fingers idly as he simply...waited. He had been more careful, this time, in his choice for his Beta then he had the last. Edie had proven herself unsuitable, that fault partially his own for affording the girl to much faith and yet the majority of the blame lay firmly upon the woman herself for running off with that boy and leaving the pack behind. Frost, perhaps, inclined to forgive and yet he was certainly not inclined to forget. The stallion having been far more deliberating in his choice the second time. After all, their pack needed a Beta, someone to lead when Nadya and himself were otherwise indisposed. Malia, from the beginning, having possessed the necessary skills even if they were a little...unpolished. Still, that would come in time and with practice. The young woman was quick, clever, dedicated, mostly sensible and yet perhaps more importantly those others within his pack got on with her well. She was popular, had brought Abigail into their ranks and more so- was a distinctly hard worker. Indeed, aside from her inexperience in some matters of life she was very near a perfect choice. Nadya having readily agreed with him. If only she could manage to actually show up to her own veritable promotion.

That sudden knock on the door saw the stallion glance once more to that clock on the wall before offering that utterance to come in. Malia appearing slightly.....more disheveled then he had anticipated and yet frankly when it came to the woman little was truly beginning to surprise him anymore. Although her lack of shoes was rather....new. Frost allowing his violet gaze to linger upon her bare feet for several moments before one eye rose questioningly. Maybe it was better he didn't know. Her sudden query on whether or not he required someone stabbed with that pen he twirled atop his fingers momentarily saw the pen pause. Frost snorting softly in that ready amusement as his head simply shook. Those strange violet eyes meeting her own beneath that forelock of snowy hair that forever seemed to fall into his face and shield that blind eye largely from view.

"Not today, Malia. Thank you though, I shall keep your eagerness in mind if I ever require it done. Today I wanted to talk to you about our pack- and your place in it. Even if you are...six minutes late."

Six minutes, he supposed, was forgivable enough. Especially since it appeared she had lost her shoes along the way. Shoes hardly the first item of clothing anyone from his pack had managed to lose. That near faint quirk to his lips assuring her he was hardly truly displeased with her lateness all the same. Frost falling momentarily silent once more as he considered just those very words he desired to offer the woman before him. The man moving to place that pen down upon his desk then. Perhaps it might be better to afford her some sort of explanation along with his offer- after all, there was every chance she might say no and reject that increased responsibility within her life and demands upon her time. There was too that matter of Henry they had not fully spoken about. Frost unable to find himself terribly....fond of Tetradore's vector. Those cool, easy lyrics that so personified the often apathetic Alpha parting his lips then.

"Did you speak to Henry after that night we all had dinner? I do not know if he told you what we spoke about, I hardly mind if he did. I hold no regret for my words. In short, I warned him that I had no problem with your being friends but I had no desire to see you hurt. I lost my last Beta to a useless boy- I have no intention of losing my second the same way."

One eye lifted just so, that violet gaze meeting Malia's own then. Frost allowing the woman that chance to fully contemplate his words then before he continued. That faint simper tugging at his lips still.

"Our pack has been without a Beta for some time now. You have proven yourself loyal, dedicated and capable and I would like you to take on the role- if you think your ready. I have spoken with Nadya and she agrees with my choice in you as well. Do you think, Malia, you are prepared to be Beta of the Chimera Pack?"
