Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Waiting was Nadya wasn't entirely good at. The anticipation of Frost returning home and what his reaction might be dwelled on her mind the entire day. She busied herself with errands and then taking the twins to the park before deciding it was time to return home. The twins took long enough to get ready despite the ease of changing into those riding clothes. "Go get changed and play in your room until I call you." Nadya sent the pair upstairs before putting together the little gift bag. Her normal beverage of choice for not just waking up for ironically calming down was usually coffee. Now, with some disappointment to the new eating habits she would have to take up, she seated herself in wait with tea in hand.
At least she didn't have to wait very long before she heard the door open. She listened, quietly, as Frost moved through the house, pausing momentarily in the kitchen before making his way into the living room. "The twins are upstairs getting ready." Nadya smiled softly in greeting, feeling that nervousness in her stomach once more as Frost sat beside her. "Oh...I guess I can come today." She hadn't seen the children ride since the first time. It had made her so anxious watching them up there that she had decided that it was perhaps best to let Frost take the lead on that one. He was going to get no where teaching them with her always holding on to them and attempting to tie them down into the saddle. "Micah does like to help. I'm sure Izzy will find a way to coerce him into doing her chores when their older too." Sometimes she worried about her gentle boy and how the world will surely break him.
Though Frost's question about the gift bag, pointing out the odd gifts she received from the parents, caused Nadya to smile...it also caused her to tense slightly. She wasn't sure why she was so nervous. Perhaps he had changed his mind about wanting a family with her after all this time and with the twins so time consuming already. "Uhm...no. I..-" Nadya reached forward to pluck the bag from the table and thrust it into Frost's hands. "It's actually for you."
She would wait with bated breath for her mate to pull out the contents of the bag. A onesie with directional arrows pointing to each hole with You Got This Daddy printed on the front, folded around the black and white ultrasound print from earlier. "I went to the doctor earlier." Nadya fidgeted with her mug of tea as she explained. "I'm about 8 weeks along...Dr.Lindsey says it's about the size of a raspberry. It's...kind of hard to see right now but... there's its head...and the arms and legs there just started." Nadya had leaned forward slightly to point out the little bumps and curves on the ultrasound. Unless someone had seen one before it was highly unlikely Frost would have known what it was he was looking at let alone how to discern one end from the other at this early stage. She glanced back up at Frost...waiting for what he thought about it.
