Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
For a moment she paused and narrowed her eyes some looking down for a moment. Matteo possibly fathering more children didn't really shock her. He seemed like the type that moved around quickly. To each his own, but she hoped he at least cared for all of his bastard children. As for this Alexander fellow she wasn't sure if this was the same one she vaguely knew. The Alexander she knew was the one that Alexis was holding onto at her wedding. He looked familiar to her, because she had seen him many times over at the café he owned. Whenever she needed some time away from everyone she would hide herself in one of those comfy booths in the dark corner, with a good book and some delicious tea. She had no idea that he was the same one Alexis fancied. Surely, he wasn't the same one that Dorian knew...was he? Alexander wasn't a common name and Dorian was quite old...and Dark Hunters could live for a very long time, it was possible, right?
Speaking about Nadya and her children wasn't really a topic she ever discussed, with anyone. The idea about having children simply brought those thoughts back. Tobias never spoke about them which made her concerned about their own children. It was a silly thing to think about, but would he be willing to be present and active in their child's life? Of course! It was stupid of her to think he wouldn't. The man was more animal than human at times and she was sure that his instincts would kick in when it came to being a Father. Then again he was a male feline, and they weren't known for their affection and caring for their young. But if he was given some chances with his first children then maybe through that experience he would be ready for their own, or not. He married her and she doubted he would leave her alone in raising them, but if he did try to help, it would be a bit difficult at times with his condition as Dorian politely put it. With a soft sigh she nodded solemnly to his words wondering just how all of this was going to play out. It was the mention of Dorian giving her child gold when he was born that banished her dismal thoughts. His angered Italian accent didn't hinder her from budging on her stance. As far as she was concerned her child didn't need anything in gold. The Fae King didn't believe in child support, but he believed that her child deserved having a precious metal? It didn't make any sense. Blue-grey eyes narrowed when he suggested he would name a building after their child, and a donation in their name. Leaning against her chair she folded her arms in disappointment as she shook her head.
It was a good compromise, one that Raven was willing to accept, not just because she came up with the idea, but that it made sense. Assured that she won this dispute she easily launched a biscuit to fly straight into the middle of his forehead. Her lips turned upwards into a small smirk as that sudden surprise appeared on his face, the lupine pleased with her actions. Giggling she goaded him wondering if he would retaliate. But his words and laughter made it clear that she shouldn't be expecting any payback from him. Shrugging her shoulders she picked up another biscuit and allowed it to levitate at her shoulder, spinning it around, almost as if she were considering throwing another one at him.
Grinning she raised one eyebrow as if to dare him to challenge her. His inquiry on whether or not she could carry more than one thing at once was answered quite easily. Not only was the biscuit levitating, but she briefly focused on their chairs and soon the two of them were being lifted upwards by an invisible force, with the biscuit still spinning. Allowing her actions to answer his question. After having this ability for years she had nearly perfected it. This power came in handy for her numerous times, especially when it came cooking. Preparing her pack with delicious meals came much easier for her now. She allowed them to float for a few minutes and then she slowly brought them back down to the ground, the biscuit settling back on the plate too.
Raven wasn't bothered at all to talk about her powers. However, there was one thing she had meant to ask him time and time again, but it was never the right now. She hoped now would be okay to inquire what had happened so many years ago. One activity they did together, which they never brought up, was when they went on a hunting trip. She had easily caught a rabbit and when she presented it to him the dead rabbit had come to life. He claimed that she didn't kill it right, but his statement was not only insulting, but absolutely wrong. The lupine had killed many prey animals like rabbits, she knew how to do it, and not once did it ever come back to life. Raven would never admit it allowed to anyone else, but there were times when she dreamed of that moment, such a wonderful day would be ruined by zombie rabbits chasing her. A predator being chased by prey was...not something that she should share with anyone. Leaning in, as if they were being overheard, she muttered her question, keeping her eyes locked on his.
