Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Perhaps she would never get Dorian to understand that whether a child was born out of wedlock, or not, they still mattered and were still important. As a bastard himself you would think he would be able to sympathize with those that were created when their parents were not married. He was a King. A King that truly shouldn't be King by traditional standards. His musing thoughts about his own Father and Godfather possibly having a large unpaid bill of child support only caused the she-wolf to tilt her head in curiosity. Dorian's Father seemed the type of male that would travel about and fool around. It wasn't a bad thing it just wasn't a person she was interested in spending a lot of time with. Perhaps he had good tendencies, and yet, she was still hesitant about him. It was the name of his Godfather that had her mind working to make the connection between him and the only other Alexander she knew. It was amusing to hear that the two she knew of were the same ones. As big as the world was it truly was a small place. Taking a sip of her tea she smiled and nodded as he explained just why she and the rest of her pack probably didn't see Alexander. That he was allergic to cats, and spending time with them, wouldn't be the best scenario for him. Chuckling softly she nodded.

"Oh yes, that would be a problem."

Taking another bite of her biscuit she nodded as he began to speak about his Father and Godfather and the way they met. It wasn't surprising to hear that supernatural creatures were treated poorly back then. I mean based upon history the supernatural creatures were seen as the villains and needed to be taken out. Back then it wasn't safe for them and in this day of age it honestly depended upon who they were around. Some would be understanding and others wouldn't be. That Matteo saw Alexander like a Father was endearing, it was good he had someone to learn from. Everyone needed that, a parent that sought how to make sure their own offspring were well taken care of and prepared to survive in this world. A simple conversation about them was changed over about Dorians' Father predicting that she would have not one, but two children. His desire to gift her child with gold of all things, was ridiculous. There was no need to gift her children such an absurd object when they had no need for it. After that argument, she was assured she won, when he agreed to his own threat, so that he would donate to a charity in her childs' name. Easily the conversation shifted to powers when she easily assaulted him with a biscuit. When she inquired about that day when the dead rabbit came to life, he answered her, hesitantly though.

And he had reason to! If anyone outside these walls were aware of his gift they would pester him, beg him, color him as a terrible being, if he would not share his gifts with others. If the world knew what he was capable of...they would destroy him. Dorian was very kind-hearted, he would be willing to help anyone. There are many things that people do not understand, and would not permit themselves to understand. When a Mother loses a child, or a husband loses a wife, or a child loses a parent...they will beg, plead, or wish for the return of that lost life. Bringing someone back from the dead was...wrong, even if they meant well. There is a reason why this particular gift was...not something to be shared with others. Nodding she promised to keep this secret only amongst them. Although she silently wished to herself that she would never ask him to use that gift should she ever need it, and she hoped, she never would. With a roll of her eyes she dismissed his joke, the idea that she would be embarrassed to being incapable of killing. She knew how to kill just as she knew how to read. His offer for more tea was something she would love to take on, and yet she did not have the time now. She had her own witch to see as she promised her she would come around to help her. With a sad sigh she shook her head sadly.

"I would love to stay for more tea, but I need to help Serafina out with a few things before I head home. It was wonderful to catch up with you, we will need to do this more often. Maybe next time with our own partners, I'm sure they might get along?"

Maybe. They probably have nothing in common, but that was okay, right? Surely, they could come up with something...maybe. Getting up from the table she happily embraced the Italian King in a warm hug. With a smile she took her leave, taking her phone out, to text to her witch she was coming to her.
