Anacosta Heights
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Hawethorn Village
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

 It seemed Dorian was as lost as any of the rest of them as far as pregnancies and all that entailed. Troy only took part in it as much as Amelia would allow so he knew he was no expert on the matter. Tenley was his first child, after all. Dorian admitted he wasn't certain and as Amelia went on, Troy could see that he seemed taken aback by some of the discussions. He seemed completely surprised when Amelia said how she got pregnant after the first time they slept together. Troy ducked his head a little, like he should feel ashamed for not wearing protection. Was it his fault he didn't think he needed a condom for having sex with a vampire? It never even crossed his mind; and usually he was so careful. But Amelia had that way of making him lose control. When Dorian gave him a look, it seemed almost like admiration, which led him to give a sheepish smile and shrug his shoulders. Dorian seemed mostly confused though. When Amelia told them of her past sexual experience, or rather, lack there of, Dorian almost choked on his wine. Troy could only give him a sympathic look that clearly said "I know, man, I don't get it either." Amelia was drop dead gorgeous so that fact that no one had talked her into sleeping with them was unheard of. The fact that she had turned down sex of all kinds just baffled him. I mean, he was glad she was his, no doubt, and was glad things had ended up the way they did so they could be together, but it still just baffled him. Dorian than said that he'd heard from older fae that powers could lie dormant until triggered and pointed out that maybe Troy was a trigger for her. His eyes widened as he thought about it. Could it be that simple? He glanced at Amelia, wondering at her response. Dorian then asked about condoms and Troy scowled at him. "I'm using them." He tried not to sound short but he was sure there was a little bitterness in his voice, or at least disappointment. Sebastian seemed mostly quiet throughout Amelia's testimony. He did look shocked when she admitted to how long she'd gone without sex, though at least he didn't choke on anything like Dorian did. When it came down to ways to prevent it happening again, however, at least until they wanted it to happen, he thought Sebastian was onto something. He brought up witches and how if this was supernatural, maybe the supernatural could control it. His brows furrowed in thought before he turned to Amelia. "He might be onto something. What do you think?" He could tell he was helping keeping Amelia comfortable through this and that made him feel useful. She gave him a smile when he squeezed her thigh and he smiled back in reassurance. She wasn't in this alone and he wanted her to know that. He listened as she told them about her love of control. He knew well of it, both outside and inside the bedroom. As she fed Tenley, he smiled at his daughter, love brimming in his eyes. He listened as she admitted that they used condoms but no other medical methods would work for her. When she asked about a witch that might help, he smiled and turned his gaze back to Sebastian, hoping he had something. He would give anything not to have to use a condom. When she looked at him, he shrugged. "I could try my channels and see if anyone knows anything. I've never really thought of it before this." His gaze swept to Sebastian, grateful for the suggestion. |
