South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The young Were couldn't help the way her lips pursed together as she thought about her ex. Beck had been such a terrible, controlling force in her life and the very idea of him made her squirm. He'd rejected any attempts she'd ever made to make herself stand out, assuring her that he was the only one who would ever love her. That she was worthless, ugly, awful. How she had rebelled against every single one of those things when she'd made her escape to Sacrosanct. Still, all those things still haunted her mind when she looked at herself in the mirror, and too often she found herself gripping at the edge of the counter in the bathroom wondering if he had been right about it all. It was that distraction that had caused her fingers to slip and the burn to take hold on her skin. The hiss that escaped her lips interrupted the silence, though the girl was rather thankful for the pain to bring her back to the present.

Edie smiled for the girl at the mention of Yorkshire and Ireland. "It's bloody brilliant," She said happily, the accented words slipping from her tongue so easily. "I wanted to travel. My current boyfriend - Kato - he always is telling me to slow down but I just... I have this deep wanderlust within my bones." She chuckled. "It comes from years of being forced to stay in Yorkshire by my real wanker of an ex." She shrugged as she continued, their conversation instead shifting to the girl's current living situation. Edie had the money, and what better way to use it than to help the girl out? She voiced her intentions with an impish grin on her features, fully prepared when the girl began to refuse her. "I know I don't have to do anything I don't want to. That's the beauty of it, Alexis. If you're not ready to join a pack, then at the very least we'll get you a hotel room or an apartment where you can live. You shouldn't live on the streets."

Her voice was entirely firm, the voice of the Beta that she was. She offered no room for her to say no, just as she instead focused on the night at hand. "As for tonight, I can assure you that Kato won't mind. I'm not letting you sleep on the street. That's final." She nodded her head, instead watching the way that Alexis took her hand and the way that the burn faded into nonexistence. She let out a breath as she questioned the girl on the power. "You're lucky you can," She said finally, biting her lip. "I've tried over and over again. My ex used to force me to try. He'd hold me down and cut my arms or scratch or bite..." She winced, shaking her head. "One time he snapped my wrist. He wanted me to be able to do it. He told me it would make me more powerful... more... useful. If I could do it. I think he just liked to hear me scream."

The girl put down the curling iron, moving to stand in front of the girl as she mussed with her hair. She pursed her lips together once more. She couldn't help but be haunted by all those memories of Beck so frequently now. The closer she got with Kato, the more those fears bubbled to the surface. They were so vastly different, and yet she couldn't forget the way that Kato had grabbed her in anger during their last fight. Nor could she forget the bruises on her arms the next morning. But Kato would never harm her on purpose. He'd been so guilty about everything that happened in that fight.
