South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Never judge a book by its cover. This was a lesson she learned all too well growing up. Just because she shared the same blood as her pack didn't mean she belonged. The Hunter was far misguided in his assumptions. The Were may have an animalistic mind, but it was not always such a hindrance. It was an advantage at certain times. Take for example, freeing herself from the silver trap. No common animal would be capable of such a thing. It wasn't such a easy task to do, seeing how she didn't have exposable thumbs, but as the Witch proclaimed she had rabies, and the boy merely corrected her false assumption- it gave her plenty of time to work on the trap. Growling softly to herself, she would move the leaves with her good paw to hide the trap, a bit perturbed at the false accusation. Turning her sleek frame around her head would tilt down seeing the girl fall to the ground. Curiously she poked her muzzle into her clothed flesh taking in all the important scents that told her everything she needed to know. She was female. She was a witch. And, as her hormones stated she was going to begin her own ancient lunar cycle in a few weeks, and that bitter taste of disappointment was rubbing off her strongly. An ear flicked as she listened to the girl's dry reply, allowing the wolf to snort in disdain and shake her head. Really was the girl not that observant? As she turned her head she noticed how the Hunter was looking at the girl. His golden eyes seemed to travel up and down the Witch beside her, slowly. There was a strange stench coming off the boy. He was interested. Far more interested than he should be. His heart was thumping at a much faster rate, perhaps from the adrenaline from the joy of kill two unnatural creatures, or maybe...as his hormones began to change it was due to something else entirely. Her feral mind may cause her to not think or speak properly as she would if she was walking in her own pale skin, but she knew the animal kingdom and the way the body changes- far more than the Hunter ever would.

"Hormones...changing in boy..."

With a flick of her grey marked tail that familiar scent could be caught on the cool wind. Her assumption was correct. Deadly blue-grey eyes only narrowed. Predators do not fall for prey. It is...unnatural. To think he would want to break the animal kingdom laws and consort himself with prey was far more disgusting than mating with a 3rd cousin. It was not right and she would not tolerate being among a diseased minded Dark Hunter. Black lips pulled tightly back, showing those sharp ivories that seemed to glint underneath the waxing gibbous moon that finally peeked out from the clouds. She was far the better predator, this she knew to be true, because she outsmarted her prey...and she would catch him off guard. His hormones do not lie. The way his blood seems to travel farther south, the way his heart seemed to skip a few beats, and his body changes only caused a deeper snarl to rumble from her scarred chest. Truly, her next words held a questioning and sardonic tone.

"Does the Hunter want to mate with the Witch?"

Did he still believe that the Were was incapable of intelligent thought? If a wolf was ever capable of wearing a devious smug smirk, then take a look at her scarred face. Seeing how he was now caught off guard; the girl babbling about flowers, of all things in this dire situation, she felt this was a good moment to attack. Making a quick run for it, as he raised his gun, she leapt ignoring the bullet as it shot out of the chamber, her massive already injured paw slapped his hand causing the silver gun to fall. Letting out a soft whimper from the excruciating pain, her jaws opened as she lunged at him once again. As he took a step back, she saw a glimmer of what looked like some sort of shark knife, instincts screaming at her to stop her attack. Yet before she could move her form in another direction, she felt his foot kick squarely into her left flank, causing her upper torso to fall the ground. As she fell, her right side felt a sharp object tear through her fur and flesh easily behind her shoulder. A high pitched yelp left her throat as she rolled on her back, and rolled once more allowing him to stab the ground instead of her own form. Picking herself up, another whimper seemed to gurgle from her as a low growl rumbled in her chest. Slowly she shuffled her form, stepping to the side in a watchful stance getting closer and closer to the Witch. Perhaps, if she was lucky he would mimic her movements, circling one another, she closer to the girl and he closer to the now open and set trap that lay covered perfectly in the leaves. Maybe, just maybe, if she was lucky the Hunter would fall in his own trap and give her the chance to slip away. Stumbling over her paws, her right shoulder leaned into the Witch, her blood ruining her clothes, as it trickled down her ebony fur. Her wounded left paw raised up, not wanting to put much weight on it. Blue-grey eyes looked to the gun that was lying there, perfectly, for the Witch to grab. Cold eyes would travel up to the girl and back to the gun, giving an obvious sign that, maybe, the girl should do something right for a change and pick up the gun and shoot the bastard already...but in her state, slightly wounded and in a feral mind, that order would have been barely uttered much less understood. The hidden silver teeth trapped was in the perfect place, in the center between the two girls and the hunter, should he make a run for it, he might be lucky enough to feel just how nasty his trap really was.

"Boy is...bad hunter...wanting to mate with...prey....nasty...nasty hunter."

Perhaps the creature knew when to appropriately use the word, 'nasty.' Once more she was goading him. She wanted him attack. She wanted him gone, at least enough for her to be able to run away and live to see another day. Her form would quiver from the shock that was starting to overwhelm her, the cuts, the amount of silver, it was enough to turn her from fighting to simply wanting to run away. Her tail would bend down in worried state, ears pricked forward as her muzzle nudged the girl's leg urging her to at least do something. As much as she wanted to save her own skin, she felt she had to help the Witch out too. After all, it wasn't her fault the twisted Dark Hunter wanted to lie with the Witch. Although...he would be preoccupied and as disgusting as that thought was, at least she'd be able to run away. Hackles rose, frustrated in the situation she was in, much less, the annoyance that the Witch wasn't acting as she should, so with a gruff order she felt the need to at least tell her what to do.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
