South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Archer Faxfair
470 years - Fae - Male - Hawethorn Village

It had not taken long for Archer and Blaise to begin the journey of hunting for the amulet. The first night they had met had been rather magical, quite literally, and it had ended up with Archer sleeping on her couch. It was odd the way he was drawn to her even before the blood oath but now he was determined to honor it. It was not his way to avoid his duties. Once he had been a Knight and that night he had dreamed his memories of a time long ago when he had sworn a duty to protect innocents from harm. A duty that had taken him to places he otherwise never would have dreamed. To the land of the fae and back, a changed man, something not quite human but not quite fae either. In his own mind, at least, but in truth he was a fairy now. There was no changing that fact and as the week had progressed so had his desire for blood once more.

The curse never let up. So when Blaise had told him that they were to embark upon a mission in the forest this night he had prepared ahead of time. He had pulled out his own daggers of old, aged timeless and kept in pristine condition, the steel having some effect on him but not enough to make him put them away. Part of him wondered if he should try to find the underground trade in fae items to purchase actual fae weaponry but he was loath to stray too far from Blaise. His bond demanded he protect her and what if he left only to return to her dead? Although he was sure he would probably die too, a fact that hadn't registered with him when he first agreed to the bond. But his doubts were always thrust aside because he took every opportunity to study Blaise. She was beautiful. Maybe it was her beauty that blinds him, his need not altogether innocent when he was around her, but he never pressed her for anything.

He moved stealthily through the path behind Blaise, his own senses on high alert as she whispered what they would be up against, his blue eyes caressing the back of her head at times. Reassuring himself she was fine.

The hiss and thunk of an arrow has him crouching now, two daggers ripped from their sheathes and held in both hands as he peers into the forest. Vaughn. He hated that man just because there was a vulnerability there when Blaise talked of him. Part of him felt a sense of jealousy at their past relationship, even if she didn't outright say they had one, but he also felt danger. "Be prepared," he warns her moments before a female comes charging out. Blaise claims her in a blood thirsty tone and at that moment Archer's eyes snap to Icarus as he approaches with a calm demeanor.

Archer turns slowly to match him, his face hard and uncompromising. In a few steps they meet between the trees, the sound of daggers scratching against each other splintering the air. Archer spins, swiping at the exposed ribs of Icarus, but the fae male is quick and spins away, returning with a crippling strike that Archer blocks. The pressure of it, however, reverberates up his forearm and he slips back a little, suddenly finding Icarus's blade plunged into his side. With a growl his eyes shine bright blue and his power ripples out. Their surroundings change and Icarus stands at the edge of a cliff. It is an illusion but one that makes his fae opponent doubt and he scrambles away from the edge and into the thrust of Archer who slices him across the chest, a deep wound.

Only then does the scene peter out and Archer turns to face him again, waiting to see how he will react with the sound of Blaise and Ivaine in the background.
