The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

This morning the Ark was deathly silent. It always was after a Saturday night, the time it got ridiculously rowdy. Raven was curled up against her mate, enjoying the warmth and the closeness. It pained her that she would have to get up and leave him be. He would most likely sleep the day away and without him to bother her, she would be capable of working all day...and repeating it tomorrow. With a sad sigh she slowly untangled herself, not wanting to disturb him. When she was almost free she felt his arm wrap around her waist and pull her next to him. With a soft huff she attempted to get out of the hammock once more, when she felt his arm again, she grabbed a pillow and quickly put it in his grasp, as he slammed it against him. While he settled himself into the pillow she breathed a sigh of relief as she slid down. Easing herself out of the hammock she grabbed her t-shit and off the ground and put it on, walking around the hammock to place a gentle kiss on his forehead before heading towards the bathroom.
As soon as she cleaned herself up she exited the room, happy to see her mate was still fast asleep cuddling with the pillow. Heading for Tetradore's office she grabbed the mail that had been sitting in the 'unread' box of the desk. A sad smile appeared on her mauled face when she read over her Alpha's name. Always the mail was under his name, and she hated opening up his mail, but there were important business items that needed to be handled that were addressed within these letters or statements. As she went through the pile, she noticed an unfamiliar, decorative looking envelope. Both eyebrows were raised when she noticed that the decorative letter was addressed for her. As much as she was aware she wasn't quite sure why she would receive a letter. She didn't write a letter to anyone and she was confused as to why she would have one. Slowly she opened it, careful to not destroy it as the artwork was pretty. Pulling out the elaborate invitation, blue-grey eyes looked over the artwork first finding it quite beautiful. The handwriting was quite archaic, no one wrote like this before. A small smile appeared when she understood that it was an invitation to come to a café from the King of Italy himself. Though that smile on her face was replaced with a look of horror as she realized the date.
Quickly she turned her head over to the clock making note that she would need to leave the Ark in 10 minutes if she was going to meet him. Quickly she placed the letter within the desk of Tetradore, hiding it underneath some old paperwork, because she would hate for Tobi to find it and destroy it. Of course he wouldn't mean to, and yet she didn't want to take the chance. Heading back to her room she slipped in, carefully going to the closet to find some appropriate clothes. When she managed to dress herself, she slipped out of their bedroom, rushing down the stairs and bolting down the docks. As she made one final leap down the walk she shifted, barreling down the alleyway and towards the South. Eventually she would make it near the café, shifting within the bushes and then walking up the sidewalk as if nothing happened.
As she followed the hostess she pulled out her phone, making note that she was going to barely make it to him. Placing the phone back in her pocket she looked up noticing the fae King. As they made their way towards his table, she noticed how the others looked at her. Feeling their eyes bore into her she lowered her head, placing her hands in her black jacket. With a small smile she sat down in the chair he had placed out for her, sliding herself back towards the table she murmured a soft hello. It was when their waiter made his approach did she flinch slightly, the girl still wary of other males, muttering a softly her order for ginger tea with cinnamon. Blue-grey eyes flashed towards the fae King as she settled herself more comfortably now that the male waiter was gone. Pink lips pulled back a wide smile as she nodded politely.
It was good to see the Fae King. It had been a long time since she had seen him. The last time she saw him was when...when Tetradore had passed. He had taken Sam away, back to the home they shared. She hadn't caught his scent or the Fae Queen's scent in the West, it was as if she disappeared. When the waiter came back with her tea she happily took it, enjoying the warmth that she felt. She took a drink of her tea for a moment, and when she was finished she placed it back on the table. Pulling some of her golden-brown curls out of her face, she took another look at him. Could he see through her dark clothing that she appeared a bit more frail than usual? She hadn't been eaten well since his death, every now and then she ate well, but mostly she picked at her food. She was overworking herself, busing herself with the business and doing what Tobias wished of her...and both were herculean tasks.
