South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Truthfully, Emmy wasn't too sure about his species to begin with. She'd never been around vampires before. Where she was from, supernatural species were never very open about their origins. One would never know the other species existed unless they slipped up. Like Emmy, for example. The poor girl was only discovered because she had accidentally created a rainstorm in her home because she was upset with her parents. That's when her torture had started.

So naturally, now that she was in a place with so many super natural species that lived quite openly about who they were, it was hard for Emmy to adjust. In the 24 hours since she'd been here, she'd already met a wolf and now a vampire...not to mention she'd heard that there were other witches too. It was a lot to take in.

When he spoke, she looked up at him cautiously. He was trying to be friendly, but Emmy was so hard to trust that she just couldn't convince herself to completely be open with him. "You're the first vampire I've met." She was trying to be friendly, but her fear was eating her alive and making it damn near impossible.

But even as she stands there utterly confused by him, she cannot help but notice that he's genuinely trying to help her. He's handed her the satchel and he's stepped back to give her space. It was strange for someone to be quite so nice to her.

She threatens him, telling him that she would kill him if he tried to harm her. She might not know exactly how to kill him, but she would try to the best of her ability. He seems to chuckle at his own joke, a joke she doesn't necessarily understand. But then he's offering his name and she sighs. She can't be more rude than she already has been to him. "Emerson...but people call me Emmy." She hated her formal name. Her mother used it all too often to harass her and scold her. She would much rather be called Emmy.

And then he was asking if she had caused the storm and she instantly grew nervous. Her hands fumbled in front of her waist, her feet shuffling in the sand. "I...uh..." Her eyes slowly rose to meet his. "I didn't mean to..." She remembered Raven saying that she needed to practice her powers so she wouldn't hurt anyone. But this place was so damn populated that she was scared she might take down the whole city.
