The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Emerson had been searching aimlessly for any clues as to where to find her deceased boyfriend's family. It had been her mission since coming to Sacrosanct to find his family and let them know that Alex had passed away. She had already told herself that she would NOT delve into why he had lost her life. Even she was unable to accept the facts. She felt so responsible for his death that it was hard for her to talk about with herself...let alone a family that she didn't know.
Alex's death had been preventable. If she had grown up in an environment where her powers were praised and her parents taught her to control them, then maybe Alex would still be alive. But as it were, she had been forced into foster care after her parents altogether abandoned her. She was told not to show a soul what she could do to her abilities. She lived in fear from the time she was a young girl until now. She feared that someone would try to harm her for her powers. So she kept them a secret, trying to force them never to reveal themselves. But it had been this naïve thinking that had gotten her in trouble.
It had been the creation of a massive tornado that had taken the lives of several people, including Alex. She felt responsible for each loss, each injury, and each destroyed home. She felt so much guilt that it was almost impossible for her to contain it all. But despite the guilt, she knew she owed Alex's family at least knowing that their son had passed away.
As she roamed over the over quiet streets, she had resulted into trying each and every house until she found the one she was looking for. She knew it would take her weeks, months even, but she had to try. But after a long day of turning up no new leads, she knew it was time to go back to the small hotel where she was staying. Thankfully, she had convinced the hotel management to let her stay in exchange for some work around the property. She had no money, no real job, no way to support herself. This was all she had for now. And once she found Alex's family, then she would be gone as quickly as she came.
As she neared the bus stop, she realized that she was not the only one waiting for a bus this late at night. She looked him over curiously, trying to see if she needed to steer clear of him or if he might be okay to be around. In the end, she figured the large samurai sword strapped to her back and the dagger along the waistband of her pants would be deterrent enough. She knew how to protect herself and she wasn't afraid to do so.
Sitting down on the bench next to the man, she turned to look at him, trying to offer him a soft smile. "Good evening. Have you seen the 54 bus pass by here?" She hoped she hadn't missed the bus. She looked at her watch, figuring unless the bus was late by some miracle, she had probably missed the bus.
