The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Her human friend seemed awfully distracted today for some reason. She had a distant thoughtful look in her eyes as she moved through the crowd of students and Malia thought for a moment that she might not see her or hear her at all. But then Miyako stopped, causing another student behind her to run right into her. Malia cringed and as the girl glared at Miyako, she felt her imaginary hackle standing up. Her lips curled, about to growl in warning but the girl stalked off before she could get close enough so she quickly covered her teeth again and gave Miyako another beaming smile. Miyako seemed to recognize her, calling out her name and how it had been a long time. She nodded in agreement as she got up to her, feeling Miyako's gaze take her in and watching the knowing smile cross her friend's lips as she noted the jacket. Malia still loved the leather jacket Miyako had gotten for her. It was thanks to her that Malia had figured out she loved leather, after all. She held the hem of the jaket proudly and grinned. "Thanks, you too. It's been a while, but I figured this would be where to find you." She was so distracted by her friend that she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary either. Miyako asked about Henry and Malia felt herself smirking as she remembered their last encounter. "Oh yeah, I'll say." She said maybe a little too proudly as she thought about the amazing new things he had taught her when they mated. She smiled. "I live with Frost now though. He's cool and pretty much lets me do whatever I want. His girlfriend Nadya is petty cool too though, and her kids are cute." She looked up when she noted that Miyako's expression had changed, following her gaze to the guy standing way too close to them now. Malia tensed, her hackles raising again as she stepped closer to Miyako, almost in between her and the guy as she fixed him with a warning look. The guy said that she had invited them to the bar and she snorted. "As if. I wouldn't want a drink with you losers if you begged me." She crossed her arms, hoping they would get the hint and leave. She listened as Miyako said they would pass and they had places to be and she nodded in agreement. She was more relaxed this time as she felt Miyako slide her arm through hers and pull her away from the guys, more used to the gesture now. She was just happy to be hanging out with her only human friend now. Miyako asked her what that was about and she shrugges lightly. "I was scolding them for picking on another guy a few minutes ago, nothing big. They're big jerks and no one was telling them. I figured I'd do them the favor." She smirked, quite proud of herself. Only then did she feel the sense that they weren't alone, glancing back over her shoulder to see the guys grouping up and following them. She scowled. "They don't seem to know how to take no for an answer either." She murmured to Miyako. "Just stay behind me. I won't let them hurt you." She reassured her friend, sensing that they were getting closer. "Hey, slow down. We can't have any fun this way!" She heard yelled out from behind them, her whole body stiffening at the tone of voice. She could practically hear them sneering. She looked over right as one of the guys tried to reach out and grab Miyako's arm, whirling her away from his reach as her fangs popped into view. In mere seconds, her hands had turned to claws and her eyes had turned glowing blue as she glared down the guys, who had suddenly stopped dead in their tracks. "I....said...BUZZ OFF!" She snarled at them through fanged teeth. They looked like their eyes were about to pop out of their heads, most of them sprinting off but the main guy stumbled back. "What the hell are you, freak? I wouldn't want to screw you, anyway. I don't do bestiality." Then he took off too. Malia stood there for a minute, panting in her anger as she tried to calm herself down, sure it was the only way she was going to shift back. Once she was completely sure she had hands and brown eyes again did she turn back to Miyako. "See? Told you I got your back." She smiled with human teeth, not thinking about the fact that she had just half shifted in front of her very much human very much unaware of what she is friend. |
