South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

SOLO I FORTI VIVO
only the strong live

Sometimes, you just gotta get away.

Caprice stands beside the small stream far from the city. The blood has already dried upon her olive toned hands and she has yet to wash the stains away. She should have worn gloves, or something. Upon her heart shaped face resides a blank expression along with a few spots of crimson along her left cheek. her right eye has already begun bruising and her shirt is half ripped, exposing her rib cage to the world and revealing another small cut. It was taking longer and longer for her to heal. Perhaps that was what age would do to you or maybe, that voodoo lady actually did put something in her drink. She stands silently, breathing as she reminisces about what occurred only two hours prior. The vampire had been known to drain the life out of the homosexuals in the city. He was a murderer, she had every right to take his life for the 6 lives he had already taken. She shakes slightly, hands clasping together as she crouches. She hisses, sucking in air through her teeth at the pain. The adrenaline has worn off and now, all that was left were the bruises on her skin and the cuts upon her flesh.

He had put up a good fight, that one. Even thrown her off of his own balcony and to an innocent car before leaping out after her. At the last moment, she had pulled the dagger from her black boot, twisting it and lifting as he landed upon her and ending his life. The dagger had been dripped and soaked in holy water, the very tip of it wooden for times like these. It had driven right through his unbeating heart and when she ripped it out, he bled upon her before turning to ashes. Caprice looked filthy, her dark brunette bun falling all over the place with wisps attached to her sweaty, ashy face. Her whole black outfit was covered in liquid and ashe, scratches still bleeding from her shoulder and rib cage. The fight had been a good one.

She lowers to her knees after the crouch, grunting lightly as she places her bloodstained hands into the water. The crimson washes away in the clear liquid but the stains rest upon her flesh. She will need to scrub them in the shower later. If she ever decided to go back home. For now she would relax, wait to heal before stepping back into that dark city again. She falls back, kicking her feet out from under herself as she lifts her legs to place her arms upon her knees. She breathes slowly, watching the sun rise and cast its orange and red beauty across the sky like water colors.

Right now, she felt peace.
