The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Night. It was when everything that went bump in the night came out to play; the rough blonde was no different. While humans often hid in their bed, covers up to their ears; that was when the supernatural donned their finest and scoured the city for whatever piqued their cravings. Tonight however hadn't really called upon him for any particular craving; he was quite the content Vampire, he held no lust for anything at the moment, just his interest in his new city. He was still fairly new to Sacro, a lot of the secrets the city held were still kept from him. He'd of course found the Voodoo Room and a few bedrooms, leaving most of the city still a new mystery to him. Tonight was the night to change at least a little bit of that. It was decided that tonight he'd forego his normal mode of transportation, his chromed out Softail Custom. He instead choose to take the city by foot, but it wasn't the heart of the city that he'd stumbled upon; he found himself venturing out into the outskirts of town. He donned his normal attire, rarely deviating from his tightly worn black t-shirt, black leather boots and dark jeans. He'd left his leather jacket tonight, taking only a few bills and one full flask of whiskey with him on tonight's dark adventure. He'd always been a fan of the woods, they called to him and drew him in. The quiet darkness it provided at night stirred up an unusual sense of serenity to him. Generally on his outings through the woods he felt as if he were almost in some way connected to them, connected to the earth in a way he could never really explain. These woods left him a bit unsettled tonight, they held the scent of several different Weres who'd most likely came into them often. He held no prejudice against Weres; but his experiences had shown him that Vampires and Weres easily clashed instead of seeing each other more like... cousins of sorts. He continued his venture, moving past the parts of the woods that paths had been lain out for. Leaves and twigs crunched underneath his boots as he moved on; while Vampires were gracefully quite creatures, the woods did hold a certain disadvantage for them versus Weres. It hadn't bothered him too much, Aaron wasn't exactly known for his stealth or for not making his presence known. His motorcycle was proof of that; the Vance and Hines pipes his bike sported were set to a pitch of thunder. He stopped, looking up through the trees into the star lit night sky. Taking in a deep breath he looked back out in front of him, eyes falling on a wide tree. He moved closer to it, checking out the ground below it before lowering himself down to sit by its roots. He leaned his back against the tree, reaching back into his pocket to pull the steel flask out from it. Unscrewing the small lid, he pulled the flask up towards his lips, drawing in a sip of whiskey as he titled his head further back. The luke warm liquid filled his mouth, the slight burn from the alcohol tingling his throat as the liquid crept down through his insides. He pulled the flask from his lips, looking out into the woods. That eerie feeling that washes over you when you're being watched, flooded over him. His icy blue eyes peered out through the trees as he engaged more of his senses to investigate the cause for his slight concern. He pulled the flask back to his lips as the rest of him continued on its hunt. I sold my soul... just so I could feel paid. I broke my heart... so I couldn't feel pain. I lost my faith... 'cause I can't justify the weight. I've got no hope... that's only for losers and fakes. |
