The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was restlessness that brings the blue-eyed blonde woman to a familiar place, that part of the big city world she now lived in that made her feel a little closer to that small rural hometown endearingly named Willowhaven. She wasn't sure if it was simply because she might be coming down with another case of homesickness or if those thoughts, those feelings were driving her to that point of where she just couldn't seem to settle herself. Even another hectic day of working the morning shift at Inner Sanctum had done little to ease that sense of restlessness in the young woman who would normally climb into that plain white four-door sedan and drive either to that favorite local market to pick up some things for dinner or just return to that small apartment in Riverdale on the southeastern part of the concrete jungle she called her home now. No, instead, it brought her to that little patch of heaven tucked away in the southern part of Sacrosanct known as Hyde Park. As she pulls into her usual parking spot and turns off the car, she sits there for a moment with slender hands resting on the steering wheel, baby blue eyes watching the unknown faces outside. Some were simply walking that familiar path that led deeper into the park towards several of those beautifully sculpted fountains while others would be sitting on those benches scattered throughout the one place where there was nothing but snow and leafless trees, not a single skyscraper scarring the rich soils of the very first place she'd explored when she had moved here from her hometown what almost felt like an eternity ago. What her attention fixates most on in that moment though, is a particular couple that sits closely together on the bench at the very beginning of that trail she'd wandered down countless times.
She watches them for a moment as they sit there, side by side. The man's arm draped over the back of the wooden structure and behind the woman with auburn hair cascading over her shoulder, his hand coming to rest there just over her hair. He pulls her close to him, a smile clearly etched into his features as he looks down at the woman as she leans in to rest her head on his shoulder, black hair mingling with crimson as he rests his head over hers now. It was clear that they were a couple as they huddled there together against the cold, their scarves even going as far as to match, being the same exact navy-blue hue. Watching them, that couple so clearly in love, it twisted her heart in that familiar pang as her thoughts swept her away to Somnia, to Andras... She'd hoped that when she'd met her dear friend Dorian for lunch at the Beachside Bar and Bistro only a couple of days before today, the companionship would have been a comfort and a distraction from those wants and fantasies that haunted her mind and her dreams. It had been a temporary remedy, and though she knew entirely too well that she would not be able to escape those desperate wishes she'd made on practically every star that she could see from her apartment, she hadn't expected to find herself in that same restlessness so soon. All that the young woman wanted to do was run to his townhouse and right into those strong arms. She wanted to beg him never to let her ho, wanted to tell him everything that she felt for him until she could hardly breathe anymore. Those thoughts of the fae man both warmed her heart and broke it all in the same confusion whirlwind of fantasy and the reality that she'd once tried so hard to hold onto, only to fall so far away from it when finally, she lost that will to fight the feelings she had for him when they'd shared that first passionate moment in that hotspring on the roof of that perfectly magical lodge in Somnia. Ever since, she hadn't been able to keep herself from falling deeper into the love she knew would never be returned.
Pushing away those hazel eyes that so readily found her as she sat there in her car, she reaches over and grabs the camera sitting there in the passenger seat. It was just another piece that reminded Beylani of him, but she forces herself to focus instead on why it was that she had come here. Photography. It had been her first passion, her first dream before moving here to Sacrosanct, and it still very much was the one thing that she wanted to do with her life â€" her terribly short, mortal life she wouldn't get to spend with Andras. Heaving a sigh as if doing so would rid her of the memories that were always looming there in the back of her thoughts, she opens the door and moves to stand beside the car, the cold winter air kissing fair-skinned cheeks as she's embraced by the afternoon chill. She closes the door behind her now and sets off down that path, looking out over the glittering blanket of snow that covered the park, anything that would keep her from watching that couple as they sat there together in their own little world. She intentionally takes that fork in the paved pathway that she knew would lead to the trail flanked by trees that had been so bright and alive with autumn colors, wanting to believe that if she were there, then she would be able to remember that first day she met Dorian and Maxwell instead of the night she'd met Andras. She was certain that by now, those branches would be bare, waiting for spring to come and give them life once again, but even in the cold clutches of winter she was sure that the scenery there would still be just as beautiful as they'd been a few months ago. And so, she is walking alone, pausing every now and again to take a photo of the park, of a man playing with his canine companion, of the birds sitting upon those frozen branches singing the song of their ancestors for all the world to hear. Just maybe, if she tried hard enough, she could forget... at least for just a little while.
