South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The wolf didn't like it when she tried to talk to her in her mind. The wolf's instant reaction of shaking her head was enough to tell Malia that something else was in play here. She wasn't acting like the same logical wolf she'd run into that first time. It was like she was feral or something. How long had she been in her Were form? Malia had never met her in her human form to know what she looked like. She could see the wolf seemed to calm down and started grooming her paws when she stopped trying to talk to her. Okay, so one good step. She knew she had to figure out how to gain the wolf's trust to help her so she did the only thing she could think of, something she would never do otherwise. Only cause she couldn't stand the thought of leaving the other in pain did she flop over to her side then her stomach, submitting to the wolf.

She watched in her upside down position as the wolf walked over to her. She all but held her breath as the wolf's nose roamed over her, taking in her scent. She swallowed and closed her eyes at one point, almost waiting for the teeth to come. When it didn't, she exhaled and reopened her eyes. The wolf seemed mostly curious of her but she didn't see any signs of hostility. So far, so good. Slowly she rolled back to her stomach, watching the wolf the whole time to make sure she didn't move too fast or seem threatening. She didn't want to lose this thread of something other than stand offishness with the wolf. The wolf was circling her, waiting for something.

When she stood up completely, the wolf moved back to her and she tensed a little, not sure what to expect. She certainly didn't expect the wolf to grab her by the scruff of her neck. She fought the urge to fight this domineering position, the dominant personality in her surging upward but she stuffed it down. She was at the wolf's mercy in this position so she needed to see how it played out. Once set down by the river, Malia sniffed in curiosity, ears twitching as she watched the wolf carefully. The wolf went into the water and she watched in surprise as the wolf caught a wolf and brought it back to her. She tilted her head, blinking in puzzlement as the wolf dropped it at her paws. She understood the gesture. She'd seen it many times when she was with the younger coyotes in her old pack, when they were teaching the younger ones to hunt and kill.

Was the wolf...nurturing her? She scowled thoughtfully but placed a paw on the fish so it wouldn't flop away. She knew what was expected of her. The wolf was watching. If she played her part, the wolf might let her help. It was her only lead so far so she had to go with it. Thumping her tail on the ground in gratitude, she leaned down to tear into the fish, biting down and eating it slowly, savoring it as she watched the wolf from the corner of her eye, waiting on her next move.
