South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

death incarnate & night triumphant

No amount of drinking nor training could simply alleviate Lani from his mind. It had only been a few days since he had seen her last and it was taking a toll on him. His self restraint was wavering day by day and he hardly knew how he was going to manage this every day for the rest of his immortal existence. Sighing, he runs his fingers through his dark locks, setting them askew as the salty breeze touches his lips. For as long as he had lived here, he had never made it to the ocean and why he was drawn to it today, the High Lord wasn't entirely sure. Yet, here he was, standing along the beach, the sun dancing on his skin and the wind playing in his hair as he shoves his hands into his pockets. The sound of a small child's squeal distracts him for a moment as he looks down into the ocean, the little girl hopping in the water with obvious delight. A small smile tugs at the corner of his lips as he looks away again, rather enjoying the peaceful day, even though his emotions warred with him on the inside.

He stands there for a long while, until the rest of the children are being called back in for lunch, excluding one child, that same pale child that had screamed in delight and his hazel eyes can't help be drawn back to her. Watching curiously, he can almost see the sadness that wafts off her as she gazes at the other families, before she finally exits the surf, and as she turns, the breeze catches her hair, revealing those delicately pointed tips. Eyes widening in surprise, it had been centuries since he had seen a faerie child outside of Somnia. Faerie children were hard to conceive and most parents chose not to try especially in this day in age. It was far too dangerous to have a child these days, the hunters growing in numbers by the day. Brows raising, he watches her for a moment longer as she settles onto the sand, the girl sliding her shoes on once more, the faerie positively drenched from the water.

Andras remains where he is, waiting for her parents to come collect her, wondering if he might introduce himself to them, to offer them sanctuary in Somnia. Still, no one comes to get her as she strolls to the nearby bistro, Andras unable to help himself as he follows a short distance behind her, brows furrowing as he watches her peek her head inside, the girl practically drooling as she looks at all the food. The faerie still waits, hoping that someone will come to her and yet, no one does. The girl seemed so small and helpless and the fact that she was wandering this city alone hardly sat well with him. Pulling his hands from his pockets, he strolls closer to her, watching the child as she practically pushes her face against that window, a soft smile curling his lips, "Hello," his deep voice rumbles in his chest gently, "Are you hungry?" He asks her, gesturing to the door.

He waits patiently, hardly wanting to scare the child away and yet, he was curious to see if she would accept his offer. Reaching up, he touches the points of his ear, showing the girl he was a faerie as well, "I'm just like you," he whispers down at her, giving her a small wink as he offers a gentle smile.
