Despite the circumstances of her travel across the world, Nadya had enjoyed the beauty that it had held. Nadya could only nod in agreement to Ashton's comment to her travels. She wouldn't mind traveling more in the future but for the time being she was happy to be back home. No matter how much her daughter tested her patience. It was typical toddler behavior and no surprise that the cranky child decided to test her mother's rules in that moment. It was with experience now after the years that Nadya was able to handle Izzy into going and getting her own food before returning to the surfboard.
A flicker of raised brow crossed her features at Ashton's comment about children. It had been a very long time indeed since she had heard anyone say that. Her own parents hadn't been religious and very few of her acquaintances were. However, it was something she respected. Nadya shifted her son who had fallen asleep so his head rested on her shoulder. The bigger they got the harder it became to carry them when they were dead weight as this. "Well the city does offer a lot of opportunity for experiences if that's what you're looking for. I only got here about...5 years ago. It was a bit before these two were born. My brother and I were separated when we were young when our parents died. I was adopted by a great family but never heard of my brother again. I struck out on my own in search of him and found him here." It felt like just yesterday that she had found her brother here in Sacro and now here she stood just as separated from her brother as she was back with her adopted pack.
"The years hadn't been as kind to him. We...uh..were too different." Talking about her brother no longer felt like her chest was on fire. His shunning of her and her family had turned that pain to stone. There was a moment of silence before Nadya completely jumped topics. "Have you ever thought about teaching?" That warmth returned to her features once more. "I'm afraid my talents are limited to dancing and I haven't had any luck teaching the twins to swim. I can't even get them to get further than their knees in the water. Izzy has taken a liking to you. Maybe...you'd be able to get them comfortable with the water?" It was certainly abnormal for a panther to be uncomfortable with the water and Nadya didn't know how to teach that.
