He was certainly strange looking, not a wolf or a coyote but something close. She'd never seen a jackal before. He seemed pretty easy going and fun to be around though so she wasn't complaining. Maybe he'd be worth getting into some mischief with. She needed more friends like that. He changed his comment, saying he'd have to Daiquiri and dine her. She snorted, eyes rolling but she smirked none the less. He was witty. She'd give him that. As he glanced toward where the rabbit went, he said he'd have to skip the dining part since they lost dinner and she grinned a toothy grin. "I'd rather have venison or something else less stringy, anyway." Her eyes twinkled playfully. When he bumped her with his nose, she had to fight the urge to tense and growl in warning. The other Were's she knew weren't so fast to touch others and she still had the instinct to be dominant with others since the coyote pack she was in. But she was no longer in that pack and he was only being friendly so instead she grimaced and tried to relax again. When she asked what he was, he seemed surprised before he laughed and she tilted her head, brows furrowing in question. Then he said he was a jackal and her ears flicked back before she shook her head. "Never heard of it. Related to coyotes or something?" He answered that though when he said they were practically cousins. She snorted again. "I'm not exactly versed in Were relations." Then when she teased him about going after an injured rabbit, he said he was an opportunist and she smirked. She could understand that. The coyote pack used to be scavengers before she made them into hunters. Then he said he was interested in what she had in mind and she grinned, showing teeth as her eyes lit up. "Maybe we should find something more....lively." She raised a brow, wondering what he would think. |
