That suggestion to run across the savannah at night was done in jest. She knew he would not allow such a thing to occur, because it would be a bit reckless of them to do so. And yet, she enjoyed seeing him like this. Getting a bit ruffled up at the thought of a terrible idea. If she would have told his other half, she was sure that he would be willing to participate in such an irresponsible activity. That she would suggest to her husband that his devious self was rubbing off her, she thought he would be pleased, and yet she feigned with shock that he wasn't. She couldn't help, but giggle and give him a sly wink. Her boldness was another rare sight to behold, and yet it was there! The woman was capable of not acting so cautious, sometimes. Taking those keys from him she helped gather up their things and headed towards the truck. It was nice that the elephant park was nearby. Driving them along she kept the speed at a very good pace. Fast to get where they were going, but not fast enough where they could miss out on the scenery. As they made their way to the Elephant Park she happily told him that she could also change herself into that similar size, if only a bit smaller. It was a sight he probably never saw, but his other half did quite a few times. It was understandable that he didn't recall those moments. With a grin she nodded quite happily as she made an easy turn to the right.
She couldn't help, but laugh at the very thought. Tobias would enjoy tormenting another and she wouldn't feel ashamed for scaring someone that hunted their own species. She would turn her head to look at him, noticing that familiar scowl on his face. With her left hand on the steering wheel, she moved her right hand over to him, reaching for his hand and squeezing it gently in a reassuring manner. Raven wasn't sure if he was feeling guilty for not remembering or if he was struggling to keep in control. Whichever it may be she hoped that gentle touch was reassuring. She noticed the various signs as they neared the park, letting them know they were getting close. When he asked a question that was her sign that he was all right. Letting go of his hand she nodded a responded in kind.
When she was looking around for their honeymoon she found this place, and when she looked at what they could do, she was pleased to see the elephant park. Going on adventures in Africa sounded like a wonderful time and she was quite eager about this one. As they pulled through the entrance of the park she beamed as she gently drove the truck over to what looked like a parking spot. Turning the truck off, she slipped the key into her pocket and headed towards a pair of people that were near some sort of barn like building, waving. Looking to her husband, she slipped her fingers into his own, as they held hands, tugging him gently to come along with her. As they neared the pair of people, she noticed they were wearing a green uniform, with a green hat that showed a picture of an elephant. One of the pair spoke up, quite happily as he extended his hand to shake her own, and then he extended his hand out to shake Tobi's hand. With a wide grin he spoke with a thick native accent, gesturing them to follow him.
Nodding her head she entered the barn like building and moved herself over to the sink she saw to wash her hands. When she was done she waited for Tobias to finish, and headed through the barn noticing the equipment that they had. As she exited the barn she stood still as she noticed two rather large creatures with two smaller ones the size of a sedan. Blue-grey eyes widened in shock when one of the larger ones raised its long trunk, trumpeting, a glorious and loud sound. Slowly she walked towards those creatures that were in a rather large pen, stopping herself at the gate. The man and his friend just grinned as one of them gestured them to come forward towards a trough filled with various vegetables. Walking over towards the trough she noticed how the elephants started to walk towards the fence, how eager they looked. As Abel began to explain the elephants his partner reached out for one of the vegetables, handing them to her and Tobias.
"These two little ones lost their Mother's outside the sanctuary by poachers. They are being raised by these older elephants and learning how to be an elephant before they can go with the herd. One is blind in one eye and one as you can see lost one of her tusks."
Raven was in awe of these giant creatures, she watched how they walked, how their trunks swayed, and their ears waved. She grinned as she saw one of the little ones tugging on one of the older one's tail, shyly looking behind her at them. Stopping at the fence with the vegetable in her hand she waited for the elephants to come. The older elephant that was blind in one eye, stopped right in front of her, dropping her trunk down to gently move over the fence. Raven looked at the trunk and then back at the cabbage in her hand. Holding the cabbage out she watched as the trunk moved to ensnare the vegetable, and then easily lift it bringing it to her mouth to eat. Raven smiled and eagerly went back to grab two vegetables, happily handing it to the elephant again and then to one of the smaller elephants, it's little trunk stretching as far as it could until she got closer to it. She held out one hand to gently stroke the older elephant's trunk, as she grabbed another piece of food, enjoying this surreal moment.
