South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

kissing death and loosing my breath
A soft sigh left the young witch's lips as she stepped into her empty townhouse. The entire home felt empty ever since her mentor's death, enough so that it almost made the young girl miss the capricious man. Her keys clattered on the small table next to the front door, a small frown crossing her features. She'd hoped Raven would be here tonight, unfortunately for her it seemed her familiar had other business to attend to - likely the kind her real life demanded of her. She'd yet to see the human side of the peculiar two toned wolf and truthfully lack of...trust disgruntled her. Briefly her stormy eyes swept over the objects she could only barely make out in the darkness - deciding quite abruptly that she truly had no interest in staying home alone tonight. She was tired of the solitude that accompanied her new life. She was tired of the stress and, quite frankly, she missed the magic that her status as an apprentice allowed her the time to dabble within. She stepped further into the home, turning down the hallway without bothering with the lights. She knew the entire layout of the place by heart, every piece of furniture, every noisy floor board - they had all been apart of her for so very long. Serafina stepped into her workshop, grabbing the book by the door and the small doll she'd been working on for the larger part of the month.

A while ago, a naive, desperate mortal had brought the peculiar black bound book into her shop, offering to trade it for a rare potion. Serafina had been willing to oblige her after peeking through the handwritten contents, having seen far too many spell books to know that this one was genuine. She'd read the entire book from cover to cover, having tried many of the spells to absolutely no effect. It frustrated her, but she was determined to find something she was capable of doing. This was the last spell within her book, one she'd left for the end if only because of how time consuming the preparation was. She fit the doll and book within her bag, turning to step right back out of her house and towards her favorite place for any sort of spell work.

There was only one facet of the park that the raven haired witch enjoyed. The Weeping Beech was unique in every fashion, the tree often left to it's own devices. It was as if the others who visited the park were afraid of what was beneath those vines, as if the tree was a monstrosity within itself. Serafina, however, was not afraid. Gingerly she pushed aside the wayward vines, disappearing beneath it's branches. She enjoyed the sanctuary the tree provided her - far too many simply never thought to look beneath the willow like plant. Serafina settled beneath the darkness of the branches, pulling out the objects from her bag. The doll was nestled delicately within the girl's lap and gingerly she bound the piece of leather to it. For a long time she had contemplated who she would attempt to call, who would be her voodoo doll. Quite frankly - he was the only person she had a piece of DNA of. A part of her was afraid of him. Of what he was. She knew she was playing with fire. She knew there was every bit of possibility that she might die at the end of this.

Despite all this, still Serafina bound the leather to the doll and gingerly the girl leaned over, her ebony hair surrounding her as she whispered softly. "Come to me. Come to the park." She knew there was a chance this was all in vein. She knew that there was a possibly the urge would never settle into his mind. And yet, despite it all she tried. A soft sigh fell on her lips as Serafina leaned against the tree trunk - gently cradling the doll if only for the possibility that it really was him.
