In all her scenarios she thought of when she played this moment, his disapproval of photos never came to mine. After all, he liked their first anniversary gift. He didn't say no to attending a doctor appointment with her, which is good, but he didn't say yes either. Keeping a hold on the photo album she quickly closed the book, hiding away the pictures. Perhaps she could attempt to invite him on another trip to the doctor again...because one way or another he was going to have to adjust to being in a hospital setting. Raven couldn't imagine delivering the child all on her own, it was a terrifying thought. Maybe for her next visit she could ask Sera, Mira, or Alexis along? None of them had a child of their own, but she would like to have a familiar face come and at least...be there. At least she hoped she could invite one of them back at Sacrosanct...whenever they got to return and live amongst their pack again. Happily, she informed her husband that they would have their child around Halloween. All Hallows Eve was always a fun holiday! The horror movies, the haunted houses, the costumes and candy...it was all so much fun, and this year it would be very special. His concern over whether or not he would get candy wasn't surprising. Sure, she would prefer he was more concerned about if their child would be healthy or not, but again, he wasn't throwing a tantrum. He wasn't getting huffy about losing the chance of them Trick or Treating that night...at least not yet. She would have to tell him the bad news. Hopefully he wouldn't get too upset, or take his anger out on their unborn child. With a sigh she shrugged her shoulders attempting to answer his question as best as she could, hoping to not upset him.
Her attention deviated from Tobias and towards the ducks that dared to approach the two predators. She found their soft quacks rather amusing and calming in a very odd way. His declaration that their unborn child would be named 'duck' temporarily was something she couldn't allow. Surely there was another name they could give their child for the time being. Naming their child after an animal that was designated as prey couldn't be done, not on her watch. His inquiry on why she didn't know what the gender of their child would be was answered with a small smile. Perhaps this was how she could ask him again to see if he would tagalong with her. Placing a protective hand over her belly, she answered quite easily.
It was worth a second shot to ask him this particular question again, maybe he would be willing to go. When he declared for a second time that he wanted their child named after the quacking fowl, she shook her head in disagreement. There had to be a different name they could give their child for now. Why he was so insistent on giving it a name, she had no idea. An idea popped into her head as she recalled a fun cartoon movie, they saw a few years ago, she rather enjoyed that movie. Gently, but firmly she proclaimed what she would be comfortable with naming their child, temporarily of course.
There was a growl coming from Raven and for a moment her eyes widened. Lifting her hand from her stomach she stared at it, hearing the growl come from her stomach. A half-smile appeared, finding it quite amusing. Clearly she was hungry, and yet she had an inkling that their child was agreeing with her...by declaring it was time for the two...no three of them to eat.
