Azrael
Only Fools Walk Where Angels Fear To Tread
Raven's query of just what was in Dubai readily prompted a frown to the Hunter's features once more as he removed himself from the tree. Both feet firmly upon the ground as he moved to dust himself off. That, he was certain, was an excellent question. He had been to the country before and yet he'd hardly bothered to spend time actually....looking around. His job had been demanding of his time. Leisure was a word the Hunter was all but unfamiliar with and yet with Serafina that desire to....explore had tugged at him a little more. His girlfriend had seen so little of the world. He had the money and the means. Why not offer her that experience? After all, she put up with him. Azrael assured that alone, at times, was difficult enough. The Hunter suffered no delusions about his own decidedly difficult nature. Then again, Serafina surely had her moments in turn. The blond man unable to prevent that slight simper that found his lips at the thought of his companion before the realization that Raven was waiting for an answer seemed to strike him once more. His golden gaze shifted back to his companion as his shoulders lifted in a loose shrug.
"It has shopping. Serafina likes that sort of thing and she wants to go. We haven't been overseas together. I like the idea of going with her, I suppose."
It was, perhaps, a near strikingly honest admittance from the often irritable Hunter. Azrael was inclined to admit he looked forward to that vacation. If they ever opened the damned borders again. His golden gaze shifted back towards that trail Tobias had disappeared down. The Hunter once more considering how secluded this place was before all but berating the wolf on just how far he'd had to walk to get here. Inconvenient didn't even begin to describe it. What in god's name was Raven hiding from up here? Were they even hiding? Maybe this was some weird Were thing. Whatever. Azrael's very declaration of just how fucking secluded this house was seemed to prompt the wolf to shuffle slightly, her tail closing more tightly around her dark figure as she insisted they didn't drive into the city anymore. Not when it was so far away. Another town, a half days drive, provided them with supplies. That, in the very least, he supposed, at least gave them better access to food then whatever Tobias was hunting up here. Did he even want to know? Azrael's features frowned ever so slightly before Raven's query of why he was here prompted that admittance that he found some....use in her presence. The man was not un-inclined to admit he did not dislike her entirely.
Azrael hardly expected the wolf to rise in the fashion she did, her tail waving behind her as she approached to brush agianst his leg. One golden eye merely raised as Azrael's gaze was cast downward. The Hunter eyeing the world with wary confusion. Raven's muzzle lifted then, her tongue licking at his leg. Was this supposed to be some sort of.....affection? Or was she trying to poison him with venom saliva like Tetradore?
"Raven what are you doing?"
That very question was so hardly...offended as it was curious. The Hunter ryring his companion warily once more before shifting his leg ever so slightly less she decide to lick at it again. Azrael, after all this time, still distinctly undecided upon how he felt about...affection from those supernatural animalistic beings. If affection was what it even was. Raven's efforts to force his admittance that supernatural creatures were 'not that bad' only prompted his arms to fold across his chest.
"I admit nothing."
Azrael, it seemed, was determined to be difficult, even upon the back of his invitation to have her join him for the evening and yet just why Tobias seemed so fucking hell bent on chasing him around the forest he hardly knew. The Leopard had always been protective and yet this seemed....more so then he recalled. Of all the answers the Hunter had anticipated so being provided with, the wolf's insistence she was pregnant was hardly the one he had anticipated. Azrael, in that moment, so found himself eyeing Raven anew once more. Her sides hardly appeared swollen and yet that pregnancy, it seemed, was in its earlier stages. That surprise however was quick to turn to bafflement.
"Your pregnant? To...Tobias?"
This, it seemed, was equally as shocking as that pregnancy itself. Azrael had seen Tobias lick the leg of a chair when he was bored. Had that shaggy haired deviant truly managed to...well. Hmmm. Maybe Tobias was more...together then he appeared if he was capable of this.
"Did he know what he was doing when he was doing it?"
That, he supposed, was not exactly a polite question and yet those words came to his lips quote before he could stop them. Azrael quickly attempted to brush the comment aside before Raven had the chance to process it too deeply and take any measure of offense.
"Congratulations though. I won't tell anyone. Serafina will be pleased for you I'm sure."
Azrael had nearly forgotten about that very event he'd invited the wolf too in the wake of her announcement. That barrage of questions caught him off guard as his mind struggled to process them and draw itself away from that pregnancy announcement. Really, he supposed, there was no reason she could not come to that meeting still. She would hardly be required to fight anything tonight.
"We might as well take your car I suppose. As for what form you should be in- the human one, for tonight, might be more helpful. Do you have anything.....not a hoody to wear?"
Azrael, after all, was more than familiar with Raven's casual wardrobe. Tonight something a little less....hoody-like might surely go over better.
