It had been so long since she had taken to her feline form. Nadya had been with Sebastian and simply kept to her human form, whether to make it less awkward for him or herself was debatable as to her reasoning. But now her brother and Tobi had escaped Risque's control and they were a pack again. It was an odd but familiar and welcome feeling to have that link with them in her mind again. However, it wasn't to say that Tobi didn't still drive her bat crazy, especially given the new living arrangement. Nadya was beyond happy that they, as a pack, had a place that wasn't the warehouse district and had hot water which included showers. Tobi on the other hand was unused to living in a home and was it was like caging a wild animal with how destructive he could be with the items in the house. This led to Nadya needing some space, though instead of running back to Sebastian's as she normally did she decided to take a stroll through the outskirts. Nadya figured during her time away that there were bound to be other Were's lurking about that she hadn't met before.
The sun was making its descent into late afternoon and the heat from the day had been mild enough that the cover from the forest hadn't been completely penetrated. The dim shadows clung to the black coat of the panther as she meandered down one of the worn dirt paths. Even though it had been a while since being there she still remembered how to get to her favorite spots. Eventually Nadya came to one of the running streams she enjoyed. It was just deep enough to be fully submerged when she would lay in it on hot days and still cold as it was fast moving and closer to the spring. The large black panther rubbed the length of her body from nose to tail contently against the rough bark of a tree before raising on her hindquarters in a stretch, claws unsheating to rake and scour grooves into the tree.
Once Nadya settled back onto the earth she perched herself beside the stream, her tail coiling around her haunches with the tip flicking idly at the ground. Her trained yellow eyes scanned her horizon, ears swivling about to catch any sound that she wasn't alone. The sounds of late summer grasshoppers and cicadeas met her ears but she knew Were's could be fickle creatures and hiding just as easily. The question would always be whether friend or foe.
