The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. Feeling the affectionate, but trembling pull on his beard from Carson was like feeling him grab his soul.It should have been sensitive and hurt (after all, it's hair on his face), but it didn't. He wasn't sure if it was all the emotions flooding through him that numbed it or if it was just Carson. Staring into his beautiful eyes, Cole had only one thought running through his head. The moon was starting to disappear as the night slowly crept to the approaching dawn, but Carson had never looked so gorgeous to him before. In this moment, this second, Cole was struck. I love him. I love him. The most beautiful creature and he's mine. He's mine...but will he be after tonight? Will he still be mine?
There is a smile on his face at the mention of a 'sexy Vampire' and he grabs Carson's wrist, gently, his fingers rubbing his soft skin slowly. "You're already sexy." His eyes were now stinging from the tears, but they've stopped. And as held holds his lover's wrist, he can feel him trembling still. He can still hear it in his voice. Cole just wished he could turn back time. He even wished he had the ability to wipe memories ... his own, Car's too. Lies, deceit, this wasn't how it was mean't to be. But what did he expect? There was no way I could live this double life forever, I just wish it had been some other way. How will I ever make this right?
The mood that was starting to settle into something more peaceful is suddenly shattered. "Show me .. I need to see her." His eyes that were soft change into a look of desperation and shock. His heart immediately starts beating faster, and he gets up quickly, rudely shoving Carson's hands away from him. He takes a few steps, his back turned, rubbing his beard where there was once a loving grip moments before. He doesn't say anything. Why? Why the fuck does he need to see? Cole begins to feel that strange itch of betrayal creeping in. Like the Devil on his shoulder was now the most overpowering voice and not his Angel. His Angel that was sitting on the ground behind him. "Why? Why do you need to see her?" He still won't turn around. His voice is thick with aggravation and suspicion. Cole was standing there, wondering if he should use his Illusion power. But it didn't feel right. Never had he used his power on Carson and he never wanted to ... but should he?
He lets out his animal growl and sigh again and shakes his head. Sharply turning around, hands on his hips, his face expression is strangely one of amusement .. acceptance? "You want to see her? Okay then." He shrugs his shoulders and then he starts to walk fast, knowing (and trusting) that Carson would follow. He goes around the other side of the truck and grabs the pistol he had dropped when Carson struck him. There wasn't a single part of him that thought this was a trap, that he might run to the truck and take off. This is how much he trusted him, loved him ... loved him.
He follows almost the exact path they had taken during the chase. And the entire time, Cole still wonders how to handle this. The sound of the creek gets louder and louder and soon, they are at the spot and Cole stands there, he turns and offers his hand to help Carson down. The girl was not moving, a large pool of blood was surrounding her ... a hole in her head where he had shot her before running after Carson. But in the night it looked like black ink. Cole, with his Hunter eyesight, can see the girl's eyes wide, open ... lifeless. She was still tied and in a fetal position. And surprisingly, he chooses not to use his power to trick Carson, but he doesn't say anything, either. The blood on the side of his own was starting to itch, the cut on his scalp, too. What was he to say? He holds the gun lazily in his hand, folding them across his groin area like in some odd respect they do at funerals, his face blank but deep inside he was still breaking.
And even worse, he didn't want to see Carson break more.
