In the last few nights, the young woman had grown to spending the majority of her time within the Ark. Leaving it meant that she was alone at her apartment - Dorian having gone to spend more time with his lover lately - and whenever she was alone she could hear all the creaks and bumps of her home and her paranoia had her constantly reaching for Dorian's sword to hang on to. After awhile, it felt as though it was threatening to make her crazy. So she'd packed up enough clothes to last a few days and had left a note for Dorian before she'd headed off to the Ark to be near Aiden. She knew that he was wondering what was up and why she was so adamant about spending a few days at the Ark, but at least he didn't ask.
She'd spent the first part of her day curled up on Aiden's bed while he worked. She'd had her nose in a book - Sense and Sensibility this time, since Dorian had finished reading Pride and Prejudice - and had done her best to stay quiet and not bother her boyfriend too terribly much. She knew he wouldn't mind, but she supposed it was enough of an inconvenience that she was staying within his bed for a few days, she didn't want to keep him from the work that he had to do. She knew he'd tried to keep it to a minimum in order to spend time with her. But she also understood that the Ark didn't run itself - something she understood more and more the longer she maintained the burlesque.
So it was that in mind that had had her lifting herself out of his bed. With a reassurance that she'd be back in a bit, she moved into the hallway and shut the door behind her. She wasn't sure what she had planned to do exactly other than ease her restlessness. She supposed she could have gone to see Nadya, but she knew it was around the twins' nap time and she'd been personally witness to how hard it was to get them to go to sleep. She considered the kitchen to get a snack, and had made it a few steps in that direction when she noticed that Tobi's door was open. Tobi, of course! She stopped in the doorway, knocking on the door frame as she peeked inside. Tobi was nowhere to be found, but there was Raven within the hammock.
"Hi," The girl said, her smile brightening at the sight of her friend. "I'm trying to let Aiden work for a bit. He's having a hard time focusing with me in there. Do you mind if I bug you for a bit?"
