West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I can feel Nadya's attention perk up when I mention the fight between Aiden and Frost at the dock. She must have heard about it. I wonder how it must make her feel about Frost. From the things I've heard, they must be at least on speaking terms for him to have interest in her so is she still speaking to him even knowing he tried to kill her brother and pack mate? I look up when she nudges me, listening as she speaks. I nod. "I just hope he doesn't hate me for being weak." I admit sheepishly. I can see that she's okay that Raven is taking me to see Tetradore and the others. I'm still nervous about how it will go but I feel safe when I'm with Raven just like I do when I'm with Nadya. She says okay to my request but I can tell she's shocked that I would bring up Frost. Apparently she was keeping their interactions discreet so she didn't think anyone would notice.

She pulls back from me and at first I fear that I overstepped the line and offended her in some way. My ears flick back but I give her my full attention when she speaks. I can't help but give her a knowing look when she starts off by telling me there's more to him. I've probably only scratched the surface of Frost's complexity but I do know he's not all bad. It's just what he mostly tries to show people and I don't get that. I listen wihtout judgement as she tells me how he acknowledged her kids and was nice to them. This makes me smile a little. It's hard to imagine Frost being a kid kind of person but maybe that's his soft spot or something. I'd like to see that. My face grows sad when she mentions that he was nice to them before even the pack. Were they not accepted by her brother and the others for some reason?

I nod to let her know I believe her. "I'm glad he was nice to them and to you. I've seen slivers of his nice side. He offered me food and shelter and even training. He took me in when I thought everyone else hated me. I've just also saw other not so nice sides to him. He's tried to manipulate me ever since I first met him. He tortured a hunter in front of me and then told me if I didn't kill him, he would make him die a slow gruesome death. He threatened to do the same thing to everyone I care about if I didn't join him. As if to prove a point, he attacked Raven right in front of me, then dropped her off at the Ark like he was taking out the trash. He threatened Tobias and even you when he was trying to get Tetradore riled up. I've come to learn that there are many sides to Frost and apparently one of them has taken a liking to you and your children. I'm just glad he's only shown you his good sides."

I tilt my head, listening as she says that he wants power. I nod. I can agree with that. I've said myself that he wants power above all else. That's what's always confused me. If he's looking for useful members, why me? I was weak and I didn't even know how to use my powers to the best of my ability. I was no good to him so why did he show me mercy? One of the many things that has confused me about Frost. I scowl when she tells me what to tell him. I guess she must think her name really holds some sway over him. It only makes me wonder just how much they've communicated. Does her brother know that she has sway over his rival? I know it's none of my business and I'm not going to rat her out or anything. Nadya is my friend above all else and I wouldn't betray her trust for anything. I just want to know what's going on in her life now that I'm back. I want to be involved with my friends again.

At her sudden question, I hesitate for a second. I don't want to throw Edie under the bus and betray her trust either. She has been nice to me and I consider her a friend. "Apparently Frost has been talking because I picked it up from members of his pack. Either that or someone has seen you two." I can provide her with that anyway. I don't want anyone getting in trouble but I don't want to avoid her question either. Nadya means too much to me. I move toward her slowly, reaching out to touch my nose to her leg gently. "I'm not not telling you what to do and I know I wouldn't be able to stop you from seeing him anyway but I wouldn't try because it's your life and your choice. I just want you to know other sides of the story so you don't go in blind. He can be charming and even on the border of sweet sometimes and I'm not downplaying anything he has done for you and your children. From what I hear, he does seem to feel something for you, Nadya, and that sounds special."I offer a smile.

"If you want, we can change the subject now. I just had to get that off my chest." I straighten up. "How are your kids anyway? Do you keep them at the Ark?"
