The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She wasn't sure how much of their conversation the other Were was actually understanding but that's not the main thing, right? She was nice and talkative and Alexis needed a friend right now. Raven was pulling away from her because of her grief, not that Alexis ever really had Raven back since teh great betrayal on that dock. It felt like so long ago now but the feelings were still fresh in her mind, just as she was sure they were fresh in Raven's. Raven needed to be there for her mate and Alexis would do that for her but at the same time, she wanted someone to confide in, someone to be there for her.
She assured me that she would do her best and she smiled back in answer. It would have to be, she guessed. If something happened and Abigail ended up in trouble, Alexis would do whatever it took to get her out of trouble. She wouldn't let down another friend. She couldn't. She would never forgive herself for it.
She had never asked about her brithday before but then, it wasn't like it was an open topic for discussion with her father. It would have just made him angry because it would have reminded him that her mother died on that day. She never brooched the subject because he would just call her selfish, thinking she only wanted a day to think of herself and not the life se had taken away from him. She remembered vaguely a day of the year that he was always harder on her and maybe that was her birthday. There was a particular day she remembered that he was snappier than usual, glared at her a little bit harder, hit a little bit harder. That was probably her birthday but she couldn't recall the date.
"THANKS. UM...I DON'T KNOW. I HAVEN'T REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT. HOW ABOUT....AN ORANGE? I KNOW IT SOUNDS SILLY BUT I'VE HEARD THAT RECIEVING A RIPE ORANGE ON YOUR BIRTHDAY IS A SIGN OF GOOD LUCK TO COME."
Abigail seemed surprised when she admitted to reading but that's okay. Alexis liked surprising people every once in a while. It was nice not to be predictable. She liked to think back on how Raven had helped her when she first came to Sacrosanct. Raven had taken her in and gave her a place to stay and taught her how to read and how to pay for things and how to be social in the human world. Alexis didn't know anything of society when she first came to this city. Raven was an integral part of how she had adapted to who she is today. It only reminded her more how she missed her best friend.
"YOU WOULD LIKE RAVEN. SHE'S VERY LIKABLE. DO YOU READ? I COULD TEACH YOU, IF NOT."
She felt it only right to keep the cycle going and help out the next in line. Of course, she might end up a fool if Abigail had already learned and didn't need help but at least she was trying, right? It was really interesting how her family tied into everything. She tilted her head with curiosity.
"YOUR PARENTS, ARE THEY WERE'S TOO?"
It was probably a dumb question but the way Abigail described them by their jobs rather than anything else, it just made them seem more human to Alexis than Were. Maybe just one of them was and she just got the gene when she was born or maybe they both were and still found a way to be happy in the human world too and have jobs and stuff. Alexis herself had just gotten her first job when she met Alexander so maybe she was just way behind in that kind of stuff.
"THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I CAN GIVE YOU THE GRAND TOUR AND EVEN MAKE YOU A COFFEE. IF YOU TRUST ME, THAT IS. I'M STILL LEARNING HOW TO WORK THE MACHINE."
She ducked her head a little as she admitted that, embarassed because everyone probably knows how to work a coffee machine, right?
