The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She was so amusing, this witch. Maybe he had almost forgotten what it was like to talk to someone who had no idea about supernatural things. It made it even better that she was one herself and didn't seem to know it. Surely she had seen enough coincidental uses of magic to tell a story? Maybe she had amnesia or something simple like that. Maybe she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and took a wrong potion or got blasted with an amnesia spell or something. He was interested to know and wondered if his power of memory manipulation could bring it out of its shell. But first, he would do some more fishing. He could see the silent questions behind those eyes as they walked. She wanted to ask him what he meant by that, what he could sense inside of her, but she held her tongue. Good girl. He wasn't just going to outright tell her, anyway. She might as well bide her time and see what else she could find out about this supernatural world and those in it. It was a curiosity to him that if she was so ignorant of their world that she didn't just chose to run when she saw him showing off his strength. Any human would have screamed for help and done just that. If they had a savior complex, maybe pull out a gun and start shooting. But just to stand there and then talk to him as naturally as if they'd run into each other in the grocery store? She really was intriguing in her own way. She seemed to be studying him intensely now, watching him for any signs that might give her clues, answers. She even looked a little annoyed when he said that she had plans now. Of course he was banking on her following him. She wanted answers, didn't she? So did he. It would only be in both their favors for her to follow him. He hinted that Sacrosanct was anything but normal and he saw her eyes widen before she attempted to compose herself. He chuckled. "You do that." When she asked for anwers, he told her she would get them, eventually. She sighed obviously irritated with his round about answers but he noted that she kept getting closer to him as if that would be enough to pull the answers she wanted from him. Such a human response. Everything about her instincts was human. She really had no idea what she could do from a distance if she only knew her true powers. He could sense her heartbeat quicken as they got into the warehouse district, as if just figuring out that he was taking them into the shady part of town. He glanced over as she took out her phone, pushing buttons but nothing happened. He smirked. He could always use his energy power to power it up for her but what would be the fun in that? He could also sap it of all its power and make sure it never turned on again. But he wouldn't be that cruel. The wind started to blow and he had to wonder now if it was natural wind or the witch beside him who didn't know she was doing it. The wind before was unnatural, no doubt about it. It could only be her since the other witch had already been knocked out. He wondered if it was just wind she could control or if it was more of an air or weather effect. She moved ever closer to him as if ready to use him as a shield and he smirked to himself. When a door slams shut, she's suddenly up against him, one arm wrapped around him while the other hides her face. He couldn't help but laugh, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he leaned his head down so he could whisper in her ear. "Maybe it was the boogeyman." He laughed again as she suddenly seemed to think about who she was up against, jumping away from him. Then she apologized. He raised a brow at her. "You don't have to apologize. I know I can be damn well irresistable when I'm not even trying. It's a curse." His lips quirked, eyes twinkling teasingly as he continued walking. He could see more questions in her eyes as she followed him down the stairs to the door where he put in the password and the door swung open. He went inside, using his power to trigger the lights as he chained the guy up on the wall. He noted that Kathryn only hesitated a little before coming in the room. Smart girl. As he cuffed the man, he saw her flinching, his brows furrowing but he said nothing. She'd find out soon enough who the real one to fear was just a few moments. Not that he was altogether a great guy or anything, but he was working on it. He couldn't deny that Isolt had changed him, but he still had his dark moments. When the man jarred awake at the shock wave Damon sent through his body, he could only smirk, leaning toward the man who immediately started to sneer and try to spit in his direction. "Fuck you, blood sucker!" The man yelled at him. Damon only smirked. "You're an interesting one, aren't you? You work for the hunter council and do their tasks but you report back to your coven to let them know everything the council's up to. A double agent. You'd have two different groups to have your back should anything happen. But where was your coven tonight? They certainly didn't reach out to help you. Surely one of them has tracking powers to know something happened to you. Face it, you're expendable to them." Damon was already working his magic, worming his way into the man's mind as he planted doubt. The man was fighting it, shaking his head as he pulled against the cuffs. His hands kept clenching and unclenching. He was trying to use his powers but Damon's cuffs kept them in check. "I'm not going to tell you shit!" The man's eyes wildly checked the room for escape and then he saw her. "Are you helping him? Don't you know what he is? How could you turn on your own kind?" The man was going to say more but he suddenly screamed as another shockwave went through his body. His eyes tore back to Damon, the veins in them red, making him look every bit like a feral dog. Damon made a tsk tsk noise in his throat. "Don't involve her in this. She's only spectating. Now....how long have you been with the New Eden coven? Are you a true believer or do they have something on you? What motivates you to work for them?" The man chuckled, suddenly giving Damon an amused look. "You want to know my motivation? Salvation from filthy leeches like you. The child's coming, and it's going to be redemption for everyone. Everyone but you and your kind, that is." Damon rolled his eyes and sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I'm sure that's the gospel the coven spreads around. Do you know how hard it is to turn a child on its own family? Unless they've abused or otherwise harmed the child, there's always loyalty in family. Don't you know the story? How do you expect to take a child from its parents then use it against them?" He was just fishing, opening the man up to answers before he asked the real questions. These were just distractions. |
